[Technical background of the invention and its problems] In the internal wiring of electrical and electronic devices that contain a large number of conductors, for example, in order to connect to each terminal of a printed board all at once, it is necessary to connect the conductors at the same spacing between each terminal. Assembly work is performed using the wired wiring materials.

In the past, flexible printed wires were often used for this type of internal wiring, but because the manufacturing process for these is complicated, in recent years so-called flat printed wires, in which multiple conductors are sandwiched between two insulating films, have been used. Jumper wires have come into widespread use.

Such flat jumper wires can be manufactured by cutting tape wires, ribbon wires, or flat cables to specific lengths and peeling off the insulating sheets at both ends, or by simply cutting the conductors in parallel. After running two sheets intermittently from the direction perpendicular to this, the conductor is held between the sheets, and then fused and bonded.
It can also be manufactured continuously by cutting (see JP-A-52-120383).

[Problems that the invention aims to solve] However, each conductor of such a flat jumper wire was usually made of a single copper wire, but this lacked overall flexibility and resulted in complicated wires. There was a drawback that it was not suitable for internal wiring.

Therefore, we thought of using stranded conductors made of thin copper wires twisted together. As a result, overall flexibility was achieved, but since the wires were stranded, the ends came loose, making it difficult to connect them to other board terminals.

[Structure of the invention] That is, the present invention is a flat jumper wire in which a plurality of conductive wires slightly longer than the width of the insulating sheets are sandwiched and fused in parallel between two insulating sheets, and the conductive wires are The gist of this is a flat jumper wire, which is a stranded wire made by twisting strands of wire together, and each strand is fused at both ends of each conductor.

If the diameter of the wire is smaller than 50 μm, the wire will break, which is undesirable in terms of strength, and if it is thicker than 0.15 mm, the flexibility of the flat jumper will be reduced, which is undesirable. Moreover, the number of strands constituting one conducting wire is preferably 7 to 19.

This flat jumper wire is made by aligning 10 conductive wires and winding them with a roller, then feeding out two insulating sheets from perpendicular directions using a roller, sandwiching the conductive wires between the insulating sheets, and then pressure-welding them. After cutting, the ends of the conductor wires were welded with solder, and this operation was repeated for continuous production. The resulting flat jumper wires were highly flexible and easy to process the ends. .

[Effects of the invention] As mentioned above, the flat jumper wire of the present invention uses stranded wires and welds the ends of the conductors, so it is extremely flexible compared to conventional single-wire conductors. It is highly versatile and can be used inside electronic components with complex structures.Furthermore, since the ends of the conductive wires are welded, it is easy to process the terminals to the board, significantly improving work efficiency.
