この考案は、オートバイ用エンジンの排気膨脹

エンジンの排気孔端に連結する排気膨脹管は、
排気ガスの脈動を利用して、エンジン出力を増す
ため、所定の長さが必要である。通常オートバイ
では、エンジンの前側から下側を通し、マフラに
連結しているが、車体全長の関係で、これでは長
さが短かすぎる。それで、第1図に示すように、
エンジンAの排気孔Bに連結する排気膨脹管Cを
排気孔Bから斜した前方に向けて、エンジンAの
前側のフレムダウンチユーブDの前方の一側に延
し、そこでU字状に曲げて、ダウンチユーブDの
後方の他側上方に延し、更に後側に曲げて、エン
ジンAの上部を通して後方に向け、マフラEに連
結している。このようにしても、尚長さが不足す
ることがある。又、この型では、太い排気膨脹管
Cで、エンジンAの後側に連結する気化器やクリ
ーナー等の部品収容スペースが狭くなつて具合が

1の排気孔2に連接される排気膨脹管の所定長さ
の小径部3aにつづいて形成される大径部3bの
大半部を、エンジン1の前部に配設することがで
き、ダウンチユーブ5の一側で後方に曲げられる
部分に小径部3cを形成して後方に直線状に延ば
すことができるので、エンジン1の後側の各種部
品が装着される部分のスペースにゆとりができ
て、クリーナー等も大きくできて点検着脱も容易
とすることができる。しかもダウンチユーブ5の
前部では、排気膨脹管を左右に延設しても何ら邪

げ、エンジンの他側上部を通して後方に延すよう
にしたので、排気膨脹管をダウンチユーブの前側
で迂回させて長くすることができ、エンジンの出
力増加が図れる。しかも、上記排気膨脹管の大径
部のエンジンの前方に配設できるのでエンジンの
後側のスペースが広くとれ、クリーナー等を大き
くでき、点検着脱も容易になる。
