Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a cutform printing without cutting a continuous form or feeding back the same for removal in such a case as a conversion from continuous form printing to cutform printing by loading two printing heads across a printing holding member, feeding continuous forms and cutforms through different paths, and changing over the printing heads for use. CONSTITUTION:A continuous form loaded on a tractor 8 is sucked by a feed roller 10 along a paper guide 9 and subjected to printing by a front printing head 2 and a front platen 3. The printed continuous form is rapidly delivered backwards along a rear paper guide 11 by a transmission mechanism. In the printing on cutforms, the front printing head 2 is shifted upwards and, simultaneously, a rear printing head 4 is shifted downwards by a rotation mechanism of an upper eccentric cam shaft 6, whereby a gap between the rear printing head 4 and a rear platen 5 is made a normal state.
