Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely piece an old lot warp group with a next lot warp group by disposing pinch portions on both the sides of a rotatable alignment bar having a screw portion and disposing an adhesive-supplying portion in proximity to upper and lower compressing members disposed in response to the screw portion. CONSTITUTION:The respective warps of an old lot warp group is aligned with a screw portion 3 of an alignment bar 2 due to the rotation thereof and subsequently held in a nipping state with a pinch member 6 and the pinch member 6 is transferred upward. The respective warps of a next lot warp group are aligned with the screw portion 3 in the same manner and held with a pinch member 12. A lower pressing member 18 is moved upward to hold the next lot warp group in the grooves of the screw portion and further a the pitch member 6 is moved downward to superpose the warps of the old lot warp group on those of the next lot warp group, respectively, followed by supplying an adhesive agent from an adhesive agent-supplying member. An upper pressing member 23 is moved downward to engage with the lower pressing member 18, thereby pressing the superposed portion of the lot warp groups to adhere to each other.

For example, when manufacturing tufted carpets using non-thermoplastic fibers using the warp beam method, the lot warp yarns wound around the beam are aligned in the second part of the tufting machine and sequentially unwound. It is sent into the interior and planted on the required base fabric. When the required tufting is completed, each end of the lofted warp group in the tufted completed state is joined to each end of the next lofted warp group wound around the beam, and then,
The next step is to perform loft tufting.

However, when it is done manually, the warp threads are joined using a one-tree-one-tree adhesive, etc., which is very troublesome and time-consuming, and the joining efficiency is extremely low. , which significantly reduced the operating efficiency of the tufting machine. In addition, when piecing yarns using a tying machine, it can be done extremely efficiently and in a short time, but since the yarn piecing is a so-called knotting method, the knot [1] inevitably becomes thicker, and the tufting machine It was extremely difficult to pass through the holes, and there was a risk of cutting in some cases. In addition, the needles of the tufting machine move up and down while holding the warp threads.
Since the warp threads are planted by piercing the base fabric, the presence of knots makes it difficult for the warp threads to pass through the base fabric structure, making it practically impossible to perform tufting smoothly.

The end of the old lot warp group A, which has undergone the required tufting, is set under tension on the - end of the alignment bar 2, and by rotation of the alignment bar 2, the lot warp group A is moved to the screw section 3. Thus, they are arranged one by one at predetermined intervals (see FIG. 2). The old loft warp group A, which has been aligned, is in the first pinch section 6
After pinching, the first pinch fi6 is operated upward to remove the old lot warp group A from the threaded part 3 (the third
(See Figure and Figure 4). Next, the ends of the next lot warp yarn group B are set on the alignment bar 2, and then similarly aligned one by one using the screw section 3 and held by the second pinch section 12 (see FIG. 4). Thereafter, the lower crimping member 18 is raised to hold the next lot warp group B in the aligned state one by one in its groove, and the first pinch 6 is lowered to hold the old lot warp group A to be held. After stacking them one by one on the next lofted warp group B, adhesive is supplied from the adhesive supply section 25 (see FIGS. 5 to 7). Then,
After lowering the upper crimping member 23 and engaging it with the lower crimping member 18, the overlapping portions of the lot warp groups A-B are crimped and joined (see FIGS. 8 and 9).

First, warp group A of the old lot where the required tufting has been completed.
Set it on one end of the alignment bar 2 while pulling the end of the bar. Thereafter, the motor 4 is activated to rotate the square screw portion 3 together with the alignment bar 2. Then, the old lot warp group A sequentially enters the valley of the square screw part 3 one by one and is transferred in alignment while being branched (see FIG. 2). Then, when the first old loft warp reaches the end of the square screw section 3, the motor 4 is stopped, the rotation of the alignment bar 2 is stopped, and the pinch members 7 on both sides forming the first pinch section 6 are used to align the threads. Clamp the old loft warp group under condition. Thereafter, the pinch member 7 is actuated upward to remove the old loft warp group A from each threaded portion 3, and then actuated toward one end of the alignment bar 2 (see FIGS. 3 and 4). Next, the ends of the next loft warp group B are set on the alignment bar 2 while being pulled, and then the alignment bar 2 is rotated in the same way, and the warps of the next loft warp group B are aligned one by one using the square screw part 3. ,
The pair of pinch members 12 constituting the second pinch 12 pinch and hold the yarns in an aligned state (see Fig. 4).When the next lot warp group B is aligned and pinched, the ball spline 2
2, the lower crimping member 18 is raised, and the next loft warp group B aligned in the groove is fitted and held one by one, and the first pinch portion aligns and holds the old lot warp group A. 6 is moved to the second pinch portion 12''2, and then lowered, the old Rondo warp group A to be aligned and pinched fits into the groove of the lower crimping member 18, and is stacked one by one on the next lot warp group B''2. (See Figures 5 and 6).

Then, the adhesive is sprayed and supplied from the adhesive supply device 25 to the overlapped portion (see FIG. 7). When the supply of adhesive is completed, the fluid pressure cylinder 24 is activated to lower the upper pressure bonding member 23 and engage it with the lower pressure bonding member 18 (see FIGS. 8 and 9). Thereafter, the heating/cooling devices 19 and 2o are sequentially operated to heat/cool the overlapping portions of the old and next lot warp groups A-B and join them. When the joining is completed, the upper and lower crimping members 18 and 23 are raised and lowered, respectively, and the joined portions of the old and next front warp groups A-B are separated from the grooves. At this time, it is best to cut off the free ends of the old and next lofted warp yarns located at both ends of the joint.

According to the present invention, as described above, there is provided a rotatable alignment bar 2 having a threaded portion 3 of a required length, and a pair of pinch members movably disposed on both sides of the alignment bar 2 in the longitudinal direction. 7.13, first and second pinch parts 6-12;
Approximately rack-shaped upper and lower crimping members 18 and 23 are disposed so as to be movable up and down in correspondence with the threaded portion 3, and the upper and lower crimping members 1
8 and 23, the old and next lot warp groups A-B are sequentially set on the alignment bar 2, and then screwed! 83, and are aligned and pinched by the first and second pinch parts 6 and 12 to overlap each other in the groove of the lower pressure bonding member 18, which has a substantially rank shape, and by supplying adhesive, an upper portion having the same shape is formed. By the operation of crimping and crimping the crimping members 23, [1] warp thread groups A-B of the next lot can be joined automatically, quickly, reliably, and extremely efficiently. In addition, the joint is thin and can maintain appropriate elasticity, allowing the thread to pass smoothly through the side hole of the tufting machine without the risk of thread breakage.
