The present invention relates to a non-irritating surfactant composition that has extremely low skin irritation and ocular mucosal irritation and can be used as a base material for non-polluting detergents, cosmetics, surfactants, and the like. For details, an average of 1 for aliphatic alcohols with 8 to 18 carbon atoms.
Alcohol ethoxy sulfate, which is sulfonated with ~5 moles of ethylene oxide added, maleic anhydride, and a linear secondary alcohol ethoxylate having 8 to 20 carbon atoms as a lipophilic group to be esterified. to react with maleic acid mono-2
It is obtained by synthesizing a high purity alcohol ethoxylate ester and mixing it with a high purity surfactant consisting of a sulfosuccinic acid monosecondary alcohol ethoxylate ester salt obtained by sulfonating this in the presence of water. The present invention relates to a non-irritating surfactant composition that has extremely low skin irritation and ocular mucosal irritation that could not be detected until the time of application. Conventionally, aliphatic alcohol ethoxy sulfate and aliphatic alcohol sulfate have been used as non-irritating surfactants that serve as base materials for shampoos, etc., and alkylolamide, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, ethanol , chelating agent, fragrance, pigment, PH
It has been provided as a commercially available product by appropriately adding commonly used ingredients such as stabilizers. Alkyl sulfates are clearly highly irritating to the skin, and while ethoxy sulfate reduces the irritation, it does not completely eliminate it. Alkyl sulfates are the best in terms of foaming and foam stability, so when an average of 2 to 3 moles of ethylene oxide is added to 1 mole of alcohol, unreacted alcohol will be 30 to 15% by weight.
Therefore, alcohol ethoxy sulfate obtained by sulfonation becomes alkyl ethoxy sulfate containing 30 to 15% by weight of alkyl sulfate. In addition, as a recent trend, imidazoline type or amino acid type amphoteric surfactants are being used as a base agent or additive as hypoallergenic active agents. These amphoteric surfactants are expensive and do not produce very good foaming, so they are used only in small amounts as additives. The present inventors, while pursuing a low-irritant or non-irritating surfactant that is in line with the current era when safety is strictly pursued, discovered an unexpectedly non-irritating surfactant due to the synergistic effect of the combination. The present invention was achieved by discovering an extremely small surfactant composition, and by applying this basic composition, non-irritating shampoos, liquid kitchen detergents, medical soaps, shampoos for infants, This makes it possible to apply it to various other uses such as body shampoo. The present invention is based on (a) the general formula RO(CH 2 CH 2 O) o SO 3 M (wherein, R is a primary or secondary linear or branched alkyl group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, and n is 0 on average
~5, M is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal,

~17, n is 3 to 20 on average, M is an alkali metal,
Represents at least one selected from alkaline earth metals, ammonium, and alkanolamines. ) A non-irritating surfactant composition characterized in that it contains a mixture with a high purity sulfosuccinic acid mono-secondary alcohol ethoxylate ester salt represented by: In the present invention, the high purity sulfosuccinic acid mono-secondary alcohol ethoxylate ester salt represented by the formula (b) has almost no skin irritation, as is clear from the reference examples in Table 1 below. However, when n=3 in equation (b), the ocular mucosal irritation is moderate to strong. On the other hand, alcohol ethoxy sulfate represented by the formula (a) has moderate skin irritation and weak to moderate ocular mucosal irritation, as is clear from the reference examples in Table 1 below. What is surprising about the present invention is that by mixing the alcohol ethoxy sulfate represented by the formula (a) and the high purity sulfosuccinic acid monosecondary alcohol ethoxylate ester salt represented by the formula (b), preferably ( As is clear from the examples in Table 1 below, by mixing at a ratio of a)/(b) = 80/20 to 10/90, the effect of improving skin irritation and ocular mucosal irritation is extremely significant. It is. moreover
High purity sulfosuccinic acid mono-secondary alcohol ethoxylate ester salt represented by the formula (b),
When present in cosmetics that require various additives, various commonly used additives such as fragrance alkylolamide, stearic acid, petrolatum, paraffin, polyethylene glycol, vegetable oil, and viscosity modifiers are said to be well and uniformly dissolved. It serves as a base material for surfactants with excellent compatibility and solubilizing power. The alcohol ethoxy sulfate used in the present invention has the general formula (a) RO(CH 2 CH 2 O) o SO 3 M (wherein R is a primary or secondary linear or branched chain having 8 to 18 carbon atoms). The branched alkyl group, n is the average number of added moles of ethylene oxide and is a number from 0 to 5. M is an alkali metal such as sodium or potassium, an alkaline earth metal such as calcium or magnesium, ammonium or monoethanolamine, It is any alkanolamine such as diethanolamine or triethanolamine. Preferably, it is a linear alkyl group having 10 to 16 carbon atoms, and n is the average number of added moles of ethylene oxide, and is 2 to 4.

Preferably, high-purity sulfosuccinic acid mono-secondary alcohol ethoxylate ester disodium salt is mentioned, and in particular, maleic anhydride and the disodium salt described in JP-A No. 54-25286 disclosed by the applicant of the present application are mentioned. Substantially free alcohol obtained by adding ethylene oxide to a random secondary alcohol with the corresponding carbon number obtained by liquid-phase oxidation of n-paraffin having 8 to 20 carbon atoms and removing unreacted alcohol. maleic anhydride and a secondary alcohol ethoxylate containing no
The molar ratio of alcohol ethoxylate is 0.98:
1.02 to 1.02: 0.98, at a temperature of 80°C or less, in the presence of 0.05 to 5% by weight of an organic acid alkali metal salt as a catalyst, in a nitrogen atmosphere to form a maleic acid monomer containing substantially no maleic acid dialcohol ethoxylate ester. Secondary alcohol ethoxylate ester, then using sodium sulfite and/or acidic sodium sulfite in a substantially equimolar amount to the maleic anhydride used, in the presence of water, at a temperature of 80°C.
Hereinafter, it is preferable to use one produced by adjusting the pH to 5.5±0.2 and sulfonating in a nitrogen atmosphere. Therefore, various additives such as alkylolamides, polyethylene glycols, lanolin and its derivatives, amphoteric surfactants (amino acid type, imidazoline type), vegetable oils, etc. have been devised as agents to prevent skin irritation and rough hands. However, their addition is generally permissible. Next, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples. Both skin irritation and eye mucosal irritation tests were conducted by SPI (Society of the Plastics Industry) U.
The SA method was used and the evaluation criteria was based on Draize scores. Almost no irritation was marked with ◎, weak irritation with ○, moderate irritation with △, and strong irritation with ×. A. Skin irritation test Using a healthy male male weighing 2.5Kg to 3.5Kg, the hair was thoroughly clipped with electric animal clippers, and each sample was spread on a 2.5cm diameter patch test bandage fabric.
0.5ml was applied and brought into contact with the skin surface. For those that do not show any irritation reaction on the skin after 24 hours, the same group should be treated in the same manner.
Contact was made for 8 hours a day for 5 consecutive days, and the results were observed daily. A group of 6 Imen were used. The observation method was to evaluate the irritation response by dividing into two groups: erythema and crusting/edema formation based on the SPI scoring criteria. B. Ocular mucosal primary irritation test Using 3 to 3.5 Kg cats, 0.1 ml of the sample was instilled into the right eye of each group of 6 animals, and 3 of the 6 animals left the eye drops in place without washing their eyes. The remaining 3 mice were left alone and 10 seconds after the eye was instilled, the eyes were treated with 20 ml of warm water. As a determination method, the degree of irritation was observed using a slit lamp for 24, 48, 72, 96, and 168 hours after instillation, using the left eye as a control. For these determinations, the conjunctiva, cornea, iris, etc. were targeted. Regarding the stimulation responses of these parts,
All scores were based on Draize's scoring criteria.
