However, in order to shrink a heat-shrinkable tube, it is necessary to raise the temperature to the shrinkage start temperature, but conventionally this has been done by appropriately heating the entire heat-shrinkable tube with a heating device such as a heating burner or dryer. was.

However, when shrinking the heat-shrinkable tube in this manner, it is extremely difficult to heat the entire heat-shrinkable tube uniformly, and local heating is inevitably performed. For this reason, it was easy to create unevenness on the surface of the heat-shrinkable tube. Of course, in such a case, not only will the outer tube deteriorate, but the object (rubber,
There has been a problem in that the adhesion between the heat-shrinkable tube and the terminal end or connection part of the plastic insulated cable tends to be incomplete, and therefore water can easily enter the area using this area as a passage.

Furthermore, there was also the problem that the heat shrinkable tube was easily damaged by overheating.

That is, the gist of the present invention is to arbitrarily cover the circumference of an object with a predetermined heat-shrinkable tube, and further cover the circumference of the heat-shrinkable tube with a wrapped layer of heat-resistant plastic tape. The heat-shrinkable tube is covered with a cylindrical body provided with a heater, with the central part being denser and the heaters becoming coarser toward both ends. Then, the heater is activated to make the heat-shrinkable tube The plastic tape is heated and shrunk sequentially from the center to both ends through the wrapped layer of plastic tape.

In this example, a case will be explained in which a heat-shrinkable tube is attached to the connection part of a rubber/plastic insulated cable, but the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, a rubber/plastic insulated cable can be used.
It can be used not only for the end of a plastic insulated cable or for the cable itself, but also for anything else to which a heat-shrinkable tube is attached.

さて、本実施例の説明に入ることとする。 Now, let us begin to explain this embodiment.

First, rubber/plastic insulated cable 1,
A heat-shrinkable tube (for example, an electron beam irradiated polyethylene tube) 3 is placed over the circumference of the connecting portion 1' (detailed explanation is omitted) 2, and a heat-resistant plastic tape is further applied to the surface of the heat-shrinkable tube 3. (For example, tetrafluoroethylene tape) 4 is wrapped in at least two layers.

In this state, a halved metal pipe 6 is placed on the outside of the heater wire 5, which is wrapped tightly around the heater wire 5 in the center and loosely toward both ends. A heat-resistant treatment layer (for example, a layer wrapped with glass fiber tape) 7, 7' is provided, and the heat-shrinkable tube 3 is raised to a predetermined temperature by means of a heating wire 5 via a layer 4 wrapped with heat-resistant plastic tape. Then, the tube 3 is contracted sequentially from its central portion toward both ends.

Once the heat-shrinkable tube 3 has shrunk and is completely tightly fixed to the surface of the connection part 2, the two-split metal pipe 6, the heat-proofing layer and the heat-resistant plastic tape wrapping layers 7 and 7' are removed. This work is finished.

According to the heat-shrinkable tube installation method of this embodiment, which is carried out in this manner, the heat-shrinkable tube is first heated through the wrapped layer of heat-resistant plastic tape. This greatly improves what was done when the tube was damaged.

Moreover, the heating of the heat-shrinkable tube is not just done randomly over the entire tube as in the past, but is heated densely in the center of the tube and becomes more coarse toward both ends. By using a halved metal pipe with a heating wire wrapped around it, the heat-shrinkable tube is contracted from the center of the tube sequentially toward both ends, so the shrinkage of the heat-shrinkable tube can be done quickly and accurately. Therefore, not only can a good-looking finish be expected, but also complete adhesion can be created between the heat-shrinkable tube and the object.

As described above, the heat-shrinkable tube installation method of the present invention can eliminate the problems that were considered to be difficult in previous methods, and has extremely great practical value.
