Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the cost from increasing and perform the display of service life with clear indication by printing an indication of the replacement time or service life of a lamp on the outer or inner surface of a lamp glass tube, and sticking a film absorbing a lamp light and is faded in color thereon. CONSTITUTION:On the outer surface of tube end part of glass tube of a fluorescent lamp 1, an indication 3 such as 'the expiration of service life is near' is printed in a red ink which is not faded. A red film 2 which is faded with the light of the lamp 1 is sticked thereto. When the operation time of lamp passes to gradually near the time of expiration of service life, the film 2 is faded and the indication comes to be easy to read. Not only characters but also symbol mark or illustration may be used as the indication. Further, the indication may be printed with nonfaded type ink.
