While there is an advantage in that it is relatively easy to finish the inside and outside of the box to the same degree, the rising cost of wood has made wooden plant boxes very expensive.

On the other hand, in order to avoid the cost problem of wooden plant boxes, metal plant boxes are also available.
Many of them apply the steel box manufacturing technology described in Publication No. 28102. For example, when the outer surface of the plant box is formed with a wall member P having an apparent thickness e as shown in FIG. There is the hassle of having to install it. In addition, when a metal object collides with a metal object, it produces an acoustic sound peculiar to thin metal plates, which makes it unsuitable for installation in offices, lobbies, and the like.

In view of the current situation of steel plant boxes mentioned above, the present invention was developed so that, although they are made of steel, the corresponding part of the wood grain does not appear on the outside, as in the case of wooden plant boxes, and is thick and has a pre-veneered interior surface. The purpose of this project is to form a wall body that is equivalent to the current state, and to assemble a plant box with this wall body, while providing a steel plant box that does not produce the echoes of metal plates like conventional steel ones. Its structure is that two relatively thin steel plates are overlapped with an appropriate gap between the inner and outer surfaces, and both end surfaces in the longitudinal direction are overlapped.
It is formed into a 45° inclined surface, and the upper and lower end surfaces in the vertical direction are formed into holes or grooves for connection on the upper surface, and overlapping parts on the lower surface, so that the interior is hollow and forms a substantially rectangular shape when viewed from the front. forming the steel wall skin;
A suitable synthetic resin is injected and foamed into the hollow part of this outer skin to form a wall body filled with the injected resin inside.
Abut the slopes of the four walls, and apply connecting members to the connecting holes or grooves on the top side of each wall and the overlapping parts on the bottom side of each wall. It is characterized by being assembled into a box frame shape with a rectangular plan view.

As shown in FIG. 1, the outer skin A is inclined such that its end surfaces on both sides in the longitudinal direction form an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the outer surface plate 1, that is, an angle of 45 degrees toward the inner surface. It is formed on the inclined surfaces 3,3. In FIG. 1, reference numerals 1a and 2a denote abutment joints of the inner and outer plates 1 and 2 formed at both ends of the respective face plates 1 and 2, and are provided on inclined surfaces 3 and 3 in the figure.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 2, the upper surface of the outer skin A is joined via the upper surface member 4, without immediately butt-joining the upper parts 1b and 2b of each face plate 1 and 2. Incidentally, both sides of the upper surface member 4 in the longitudinal direction are formed with inclined surfaces 3', 3' (not shown in FIG. 2) having a plane angle of 45 degrees. Further, the upper surface of the outer skin A may be formed without interposing the upper surface member 4. In this case, the upper parts 1a and 1b of the inner and outer plates 1 and 2 are
From the state shown in the figure, bend each other forward by 90 degrees and directly butt or overlap them. In this way, the upper portions 1a and 1b of the inner and outer plates will form grooves.

In Fig. 2, 1c and 2c are the respective face plates 1 and 2 mentioned above.
1d is a stepped portion formed with a recess below the outer plate 1, and 2d is the inner plate 2.
The groove portion is formed in the middle of the groove portion 1d and the groove portion 2d is formed parallel to the longitudinal sides of each surface 1 and 2 over the entire length.

As described above, the wall skin A, which is hollow inside and has 45° inclined surfaces 3 and 3 on both sides, is basically made by injecting and foaming an appropriate synthetic resin into the inside. It is formed into a solid wall filled with foamed resin P. In this embodiment, when the resin is injected and foamed, as shown in FIG.
A core 5a for forming is loaded in advance,
After the resin P is injected and foamed, the core 5a is removed so that the connection hole 5 is formed in this portion.

In the above embodiment, the connecting holes 5 are provided in the inclined surfaces 3', 3' of the upper surface member 4, but the connecting holes 5 may be formed in the inclined surfaces 3, 3 formed by the inner and outer plates 1, 2.

In this way, the inner and outer surfaces of the wall are finished equally, and the inside is filled with foamed resin P.The four walls are placed on the slopes 3 of the adjacent walls, with each inner surface plate 2 facing inward. The plant box is assembled into a rectangular box-frame-shaped plant box by butting these surfaces together and connecting these surfaces using connectors 6 and 7, which are connecting members.

That is, the connector 6 shown in FIG. 3 has a cross-sectional shape that can fit tightly into the connection hole 5 formed in the upper surface member 4, and is formed into an L-shaped plane, and the connector 6 shown in FIG. Since this is applied to the bottom surface of the corner of the joined wall, it is formed here into a substantially triangular shape in plan.

Thus, each connector 6 connects to the inclined surface 3, 3, of each wall.
and when abutting the inclined surfaces 3', 3' of the upper surface member 4,
By inserting an adhesive or the like into each connecting hole 5, the abutted inclined surfaces are brought into close contact with each other to ensure this state, and each connecting member 7 is connected to the box frame by the action of each connector 6. It acts to maintain the external shape of the solid wall body assembled in a shape.

The plant box formed in this way has the joints of each wall surface abutted at an angle of 45 degrees, so it is similar to the case of conventional wooden plant boxes that prevent the end of the wood from appearing on the outside.
The part corresponding to the wood end does not appear on the outside, giving it a good appearance. Furthermore, since the inside of the wall is filled with foamed resin, it has the advantage that even though it is made of steel, the sound of steel is less likely to resonate. Furthermore, since the plant box is made of steel, plant boxes of any size can be easily produced in large quantities with uniform quality, so the cost of the box-shaped plant box itself can be reduced. Furthermore, since the solid wall body and the connecting member can be stored and transported separately before assembly, it does not take up much space for storage and transport, and the plant box can be knocked down on site.

The plant box of the embodiment can be formed into a bottomed plant box in which the shelf material functions as a bottom plate by supporting the shelf material in the groove 2d of each wall body during assembly.

The present invention is as described above, and it is possible to form a plant box by assembling solid steel walls filled with foamed resin inside, so that the part corresponding to the end of each wall does not appear outside the butt joint. Of course, the appearance is comparable to that of conventional plant boxes made of wood, and since the inside of the wall is filled with foamed resin, there is almost no steel sound like that of conventional steel plant boxes. It is superior in that it rarely occurs, and in this respect it is also said to be as effective as those made of wood.
