れたことを特徴としたソケツト装置を構成しよう

る。基体1には凸部10を進入できる凹部12が
設けられ、凹部12の両内側面には突起11を進
入させて掛け止めるための略L字状の切欠部13
が設けられる。放電ランプ7を基体1に取着する
には、突起11を切欠部13の端縁に合わせてか
ら押し込む。この時、端子9は放電ランプソケツ
ト2の装着孔3に進入し、図示しない端子と接触
する。そして、放電ランプ7を若干回動すれば、
突起11が切欠部13の略L字形状に沿つて移動
して切欠部13の最奥部にて掛け止められる。突
起11の戻り止めのためには切欠部13の最奥部
より少し手前に小突起(図示せず)を設けるのが
適切である。このような取着手段は、いわゆるス
ワン式と称される周知の手段である。このスワン
式を採用する場合は放電ランプソケツト2自体が
回動する形式のものが最も適しており、しかも突
起11が戻り難いように放電ランプソケツト2の
内部の端子が端子9の方向に、例えば、内部の図
示しないコイルバネで付勢されるようにするのが
適切である。もちろん、このような手段は周知の
ものであり、本発明の開示とは直接関係がないた
め、図示を省略した。また、もちろん、本発明は
前述したスワン式による取着手段に限定されるも
のではない。とにかく、放電ランプ7が放電ラン
プソケツト2に装着された状態において始動部品
ソケツト4に装着された状態の始動部品5は、基
部8の方向に位置し、基部8端面と始動部品5の
先端面との距離は始動部品5が逸脱しない範囲内

動部品5の逸脱が防止できる。すなわち、始動部

的な接触が維持できるような緩みのストローク範
囲内に規制されるように設定されれば、単に始動
部品5の逸脱防止という効果に加えて、始動部品
5の緩みによる始動部品5の不作動、ひいては放
電ランプ7の不始動という問題をも解決できる効
果を奏しうるものとなる。次に、この実施例で
は、始動部品ソケツト4が凹部12と連なる側部
方向の切欠部14内に位置するため、始動部品5
を始動部品ソケツト4と着脱する時(もちろん、
放電ランプ7を取り外した状態で行なうことにな
る)に、親指と人差指を切欠部14の両側空間、
すなわち、外側と凹部12に位置させて始動部品
5をつまむことが可能であるから、非常に便利で

装着したときに、始動部品5は基体1の外側に突
出しないため、邪魔にならず、しかも不用意に損
傷するおそれが少ない。なお、凹部12と切欠部
14は本発明の必須要件ではない。例えば、凹部
12がなく、切欠部14のみが有るような場合も
考えられる。なぜならば、凹部12は図示のよう
な放電ランプ7の基部構成を前提として設けられ
るからである。さらに、放電ランプ7の基部8の
端面と基体1の端面とが図示のように近接せず、
かなりの間隔をおいて互いに取着関係が成り立つ
構成ならば、切欠部14を設けずとも、始動部品
5が基体1の端面から突出する状態で基体1に取
着できるペースを生ずるからである。なお、この
実施例では放電ランプソケツト2と始動部品ソケ
ツト4が一つの基体1により複合化された例を示
したが、本発明の要旨から言つて、それらが別々
に独立して設けられる構成でもよいことが明らか
である。第2図にて示される15はシエード、1
