Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove sticking ice without using a special heat-exchanger using hot water which is drained after cooling an engine by placing a change-over valve in each of a window washer liquid supply pipe and an engine cooling water pipe and laying a hot water bypass pipe connecting these valves to each other. CONSTITUTION:A change-over valve 6 is mounted in the middle of a line of both cooling water circulation pipes 3 and 4 which connects an engine 1 to a radiator 2. Another change-over valve 13 is mounted in a pipe connecting a washer tank 8 to a washer pump 10. A hot water bypassing pipe 7 connects the change-over valves 6 and 13 to each other. The change-over valves 6 and 13 are changed and hot water after it cools the engine 1 is ejected against a front window 12 via a washer pump 10 and a washer nozzle 11. Pieces of ice and frost stuck to the surface of the window 12 may be removed without the need for mounting a special heat-exchanger using the existing equipment.

When frost or ice forms on the windshield 12, the cooling water circulates between the engine 1 and the bypass pipe 23 when the temperature on the engine exit side is low, and the cooling water circulates between the engine 1 and the radiator when the temperature on the engine exit side is high. It cycles between 2. Then,
When the coolant starts to circulate between the engine 1 and the radiator 2, the selector switch 17 is turned on and the switch 20 is turned on to drive the prime mover 21. For this reason, a command signal is given to the switching valve 6.13 from the computer 1B, and if the hot water temperature is within a predetermined range, the switching valve 6.1
3 is switched and the pipes 4, 7, and 9 are communicated, and the hot water after cooling the engine 1 passes through the pipe 4, the switching valve 6, the pipe 7, the switching valve 13, and the pipe 9, and then the washer pump 10. from the washer nozzle 11 to the windshield 1.
2 to melt frost and ice.

When hot water that has cooled the engine 1 is injected from the washer nozzle 11, the water in the make-up water tank 5 is injected into the radiator 2.
Since the fuel is supplied to the engine 1, there is no problem in cooling the engine 1.

Also, during hot water injection, the temperature of the hot water is detected by the temperature detector I4, and the temperature of the hot water is detected by the liquid level detector 15.
The liquid level is detected, and each detection signal is given to the computer 16. Therefore, if the temperature of the hot water in the pipe 4 after cooling the engine 1 falls outside the predetermined temperature range, or if the liquid level of the water in the make-up water tank 5 falls below a predetermined height, In this case, a command signal is given from the computer 16 to the switching valve 6 or 13 or both the switching valves 6 and 13, and the pipes 4 and 7 or the pipes 7 and 9 or both the pipes 4 and 7.7 and 9 are shut off. Then, injection of hot water from the washer nozzle 11 is stopped, and the water circulates between the engine 1 and the bypass pipe 22 or the radiator 2, thereby preventing the engine 1 from overheating.

このため安全性の確保を図ることかできる。Therefore, it is possible to ensure safety.

In addition, in the embodiment of the present invention, the case where hot water is sprayed onto the windshield has been explained,
It is also possible to inject it to a mirror, etc.; to prevent engine overheating, it is sufficient to have either a temperature detector or a liquid level detector; and other aspects that do not depart from the gist of the present invention. It goes without saying that various changes may be made within this document.
