Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep coloring density constant even when thermal recording paper other than specified thermal recording paper is used, by a method wherein a preliminarily prepared reference pulse width data is corrected based on recording characteristics of thermal recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A senser 1 outputs a code data 2 for reading a bar code 13 expressing recording characteristics of thermal recording paper sticked onto an inner side of a recording paper winding frame 14 existing at a center of the thermal recording paper 12. A decoder 3 reads the code data 2 to be converted to a correction data 4 of the code date 2 together with the thermal recording paper. A correction circuit 9 reads a reference pulse width data 6 corresponding to a temperature data and a printing cycle data from a table of a memory 5 based on a temperature data 7 and a printing cycle data 8 of a heating resistor of a thermal head 11, performs correction by correction data 4, which is converted to a correction pulse with data 10 together with thermal recording paper, and printing is performed on the thermal recording paper 12 with the thermal head 11 by keeping constant coloring density.

データをテーブル形式で格納するメモリと、前記温度デ
ータと前記印字周期データに基づき対応する基準パルス
幅データを読出し前記補正データで補正した補正パルス
幅データを出力する補正回路とを含んで構成される。
