。Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in conventional recording and reproducing devices, even if a recorded signal is erased and there is a place on the recording medium where no signal is recorded, only a signal of the same or shorter length is generated. There were three missing pages at that location that could not be recorded. For example, if you record 10 songs on a magneto-optical disk and then erase the third song, only songs less than the length of the third song can be recorded in that location, and as a result, the recording medium cannot be used. The disadvantage was that the number of unrecorded locations increased.

欠点があった。If data is managed and stored in discrete locations, such as on magnetic disks used in computers, the audio and video signals are continuous signals, so the time it takes for the playback means to travel to different locations on the recording medium is limited. There was a drawback that the signal could be interrupted.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a recording/reproducing apparatus according to the present invention. 1 is a magneto-optical disk for recording audio or video signals; 2 is an optical pickup for reproducing the signals recorded on the magneto-optical disk 1; The control circuit 4 drives the drive motor 3 to control the optical pickup 2 to successively reproduce audio or video signals recorded at discrete locations on the optical disc 1. The address generator 5 receives and receives from the control circuit 4 a signal indicating the location of the magneto-optical disk being reproduced from the optical pickup 2, and transfers the reproduced signal obtained from the optical pickup 2 to the RAM.
(Random access memory) Generates a write address to be written to 6 and a read address to be read from RAM. The reproduced signal obtained from the optical pickup 2 is temporarily interrupted when the optical pickup 2 jumps to another location on the magneto-optical disk, but once it is stored at consecutive addresses in the RAM and then read out, it becomes continuous. A reproduced signal is obtained.

がない。Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention can convert a reproduced discontinuous signal into a continuous signal using a memory, so that continuous audio signals and video signals can be placed at any position on a recording medium. Can be divided and recorded. Therefore, if you use a large-capacity recording medium, even if you record hundreds of pieces of music in any location and delete them when they are no longer needed, the deleted location will be one of the storage locations for the next song to be recorded. Since it can be used as a tape recorder, the medium can be used effectively, and unlike conventional tape recorders, there is no need to be conscious of where on the tape to record songs.
