Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the manual therapeutical material with which the pressing effect increases with lapse of sticking time by disposing a hygroscopic (water absorptive) expanding material which presses the effective spot for treatment to the adhesive surface of a sheet-like base plate which is coated with a self-adhesive agent on one side face and is stuck to the human body. CONSTITUTION:The manual therapeutical material 1a for the effective spot to be treated is formed by attaching the hygroscopic (water absorptive) expanding material 4 on the sheet-like material 2 and coating the self-adhesive agent 3 on the part exclusive of the expanding material 4 of the base plate. Moisture absorption (water absorption) of the expanding material 4 is prevented by a separator 5 prior to use. The expanding material 4 in the use state is gradually expanded by receipt of the sweating of the human body or by the water supplied before use to press the effective spot P for treatment. The expanding material 4 includes rubber, elastomer, water expandable urethane resin, compressed fibers, etc., and may be any materials which are not harmful to the human body and are expanded in volume by moisture or water absorption. The expanding force can be properly changed by the substances and materials to be used.
