【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案は電子写真複写機のコロナ放電装置に関
し、さらに詳細には、オゾンを効率よく、機外に

三種類が用いられている。これらのコロナ放電装
置のうち、負極放電、交流放電においては、コロ
ナ放電が空気中で行なわれるため、放電場で加速
された荷電粒子と酸素分子の非弾性衝突によつて
生じる酸素の活性粒子と酸素分子との反応によ
り、オゾンが生成されることが一般に知られてい
る。このオゾンは、感光体を劣化させるため、複
写機に排気フアンを設け、オゾンを機外に排出さ
せる機構等が提案されている。感光体に対し、コ
ロナ放電装置の放電開口部が下方になるよう位置
付けられているものに関しては、オゾンが発生し
ても、オゾンが空気より重いため、又、感光体の
回転により発生する空気流によりコロナ放電装置
内に蓄積されることはないが、放電開口部が上方
に向けてある場合、オゾンは、そのコロナ放電装
置のシールド内に蓄積される。このような装置で
は、前述した排気フアンの効果はほとんどなく、
シールド内に蓄積されたオゾンは、排気されない
まま、感光体の劣化を促進する。特に、この状態
のままで複写機の電源をOFFとしてしまうと、
排気フアンは停止し、そのコロナ放電装置の面し
ている感光体の部分だけが劣化してしまうため、
再び電源ONとし、複写を行なつた時、感光体の
前記コロナ放電装置に対面していた部分の画像が
