Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce inspection cost and to unify the quality of shipping tapes by providing a signal dropout state detecting means and a means to generate a dropout qualification output when a signal dropout time is a prescribed time or above. CONSTITUTION:A recorded soft tape 1 is reproduced by a reproducing device 2 for inspection and a DC waveform signal 5 is peak-held from a reproducing signal 3 by a detecting circuit 4. At this time, when there is a dropout 3a in the reproducing signal 3, a dropout 5a of a fair time width occurs also in the DC waveform signal 5. A comparing circuit 8 compares the dropout 5a with the width of a width 7a of a pulse signal 7 of a fixed time width made by a pulse generating circuit 6. When the dropout 5a is larger than the pulse width 7a, a DC output signal 9 is outputted, a call lamp 10 is turned on and an emergency stop switch 11 is operated. The inspecting device 2 is stopped. By this constitution, the number of inspectors is decreased, the dispersion of inspection levels is also decreased and the soft tapes of uniform quality can be shipped.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, with the spread of recording and reproducing apparatuses such as video tape recorders, the demand for recorded tapes (hereinafter referred to as soft tapes) has rapidly increased. Furthermore, as the image quality of recording and reproducing devices becomes higher, demands on the quality of soft tapes are also becoming stricter. Among the image quality defects, a particularly easily occurring and noticeable defect is noise due to signal dropout (hereinafter referred to as dropout), which is mainly caused by defects in the raw tape.

For this reason, conventionally, a large amount of recorded soft tape has been played back one roll at a time, and dropouts on the playback screen have been visually inspected. In the case of long-duration soft tapes such as movies, it takes an enormous amount of time to inspect the entire length of the recorded tape, so the inspection time can be reduced by performing three-point inspections at the beginning, middle, and end, or sampling inspections. was going on.

Function: The playback output testing device of the present invention plays back a recorded recording medium in a testing playback device, detects the signal dropout time of the video playback signal or audio playback signal, and detects the signal dropout time by a predetermined amount. In order to reproduce the certified output as a dropout when the above occurs, the call lamp is controlled by this certified output, and the recording medium is controlled to stop the playback device of the recorded recording medium. It is possible to determine whether a finished recording medium is good or bad.

Further, after a predetermined period of time has elapsed after generation of the certified output from the output means, the presence or absence of the video playback signal or the audio playback signal is determined, and the abnormality instruction signal is generated only when the video playback signal or the audio playback signal is present. If this abnormality instruction signal causes a malfunction display such as lighting of a call lamp, the recorded recording medium is stopped and the recorded recording medium is ejected. It is possible to accurately determine whether the product is good or bad.

FIG. 3 shows a third embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 3, a recorded soft tape 1 is played back by a testing playback device 2. In FIG. A peak-held DC waveform signal 6 is obtained from the video RF signal 3 reproduced by the test reproduction device 2 by the peak detection circuit 4. At this time, if there is a drop error 3a in the video RF signal 3, a missing portion 5a having a time width corresponding to the time of the drop error 3a also occurs in the DC waveform signal 6. Missing portion 5a of DC waveform signal 6
A comparator circuit 8 compares the time widths of the pulse waveform 7 and the pulse cap of the pulse waveform 7 with a constant time width generated by the pulse generation circuit 6, and if the omission 5 is larger than the pulse width 7a, the comparator circuit 8 Generates an output signal 9. Effects of the Invention According to the playback output testing device of the present invention, dropouts in a recorded recording medium are automatically detected, and the detection rate can also be set freely. Therefore, there is no variation in detection level due to differences in inspectors as in the past, and not only can we supply soft tapes and soft decks that always maintain uniform quality, but there is no need for inspectors to monitor the playback screen. Since it is possible to manage a large number of inspection reproducing machines, it is possible to significantly reduce the number of inspectors (reducing inspection costs). Furthermore, if a changer is attached to the inspection playback machine that automatically ejects the software when one playback is completed and inserts the first software, continuous and automatic tests can be performed. It is also possible to make the test unmanned.
