Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable characters to be easily erased from the surface of a drawn picture by providing a character eraser which comes into contact with the printed face of a printing sheet when it is fed laterally and erases characters on the printed face by sliding of the eraser. CONSTITUTION:Guide bars 9, 11 are connected to the upper and lower ends of a character eraser 8 respectively by means of a spring 12. When these guide bars 9, 11 stay at fixed positions 13a, 14a in guide grooves 13, 14, the character eraser 8 is pulled to a printing sheet 3 side, and its felt 8a is pressed against the printed face 4 of a printing sheet 3 at a constant pressure. If the printing sheet 3 is moved by driving a roller 7 under this state, characters appearing on the printed face 4 located on the rear side are sequentially erased by sliding of the eraser 8, where the printed face 4 moves from the rear to the front. If this printed face is completely reversed, the characters on the printed face 4 are erased out of sight at all and these characters appear on the front opening 1a of an electronic blackboard enclosure 1.
