In other words, when operating as a microwave oven, although it is possible to heat and evaporate water, the amount of water present in vegetables and washed tableware is small, resulting in a so-called underload, making it difficult to obtain an efficient drying effect. Moreover, there is a risk of overheating or electric discharge in the cooking chamber.

In addition, when operating as an electric oven, not only does the cooking chamber reach a high temperature of 140℃ to 250℃,
Due to poor air circulation within the cooking chamber, a satisfactory drying treatment effect cannot be obtained.

In order to achieve the above object, the microwave oven of the present invention includes a cooking chamber in an outer box in which food to be cooked or food to be dried is stored, a magnetron that supplies high frequency waves to the cooking chamber during high frequency heating, and an oven. Circulating means for circulating hot air from a heating element into the cooking chamber during heating and drying, a blower for cooling the magnetron, and a duct for air that cools the magnetron are rotatably provided, and the air circulating means for circulating the hot air from the heating element during high frequency heating into the cooking chamber through the intake port of the cooking chamber; at position b, where the air is guided outside the outer box during oven heating; and during drying, a portion of the air is guided into the cooking chamber through the intake port. a switching damper that is respectively switched to position c to guide the remaining portion to the outside of the outer box; an exhaust port formed in the cooking chamber; and a control device that controls the drive of the heating element during drying to lower the temperature inside the cooking chamber from that during oven heating. The apparatus is characterized in that it includes a holding means such as a thermostat that maintains the drying temperature at a low drying temperature.

In the microwave oven configured as described above, during high frequency heating, that is, when operating as a microwave oven, high frequency waves from the magnetron are supplied into the cooking chamber to heat the food to be cooked. Since the magnetron is switched to position a, cooling air from the magnetron is guided into the cooking chamber through the intake port, and steam generated from the food to be cooked is discharged from the exhaust port together with this cooling air.

In addition, when heating the oven, the switching damper is switched to position b, so the cooling air from the magnetron is not introduced into the cooking chamber, and the hot air from the heating element is circulated within the cooking chamber by the circulation means. The temperature becomes high and the food to be cooked is efficiently heated in the oven.

Furthermore, during drying, hot air is circulated in the cooking chamber by the circulation means, while the drying temperature in the cooking chamber is maintained at a lower drying temperature than when heating the oven by the holding means, so that the items to be dried in the cooking chamber are heated appropriately. At this time, the switching damper is switched to the c position and the magnetron's cooling air is introduced into the cooking chamber, so the steam generated from the drying material is actively released from the exhaust port as the air is introduced. In addition, only a portion of this cooling air is introduced into the cooking chamber, which prevents the temperature of the cooking chamber from dropping excessively, resulting in efficient drying.

When the fan 12 is rotated and the heating element 13 is energized, hot air circulates in the cooking chamber 4 along the path shown by solid arrows in FIG. The temperature in the cooking chamber 4 is maintained at a predetermined value by controlling the opening and closing of the heating power supply path by a liquid expansion type or other type of thermostat 25 provided on the side plate of the inner box 2. Reference numeral 26 indicates an intake port formed in the outer box 1, and 27 indicates an intake port formed in the inner box 2.

Next, if you want to operate it as a microwave oven,
The stand 19 is removed, the switching damper 8 is set to the a position, and the opening/closing damper 23 is set to the open state. Next, when this microwave oven is used as a dryer, the stand 18 and the object to be dried 20 are placed on the turntable 18, the switching damper 8 is set at position c, and the opening/closing damper 23 is kept open. For this reason, the air is sent out from the blower 6 and the magnetron 3
A part of the cooled air enters the cooking chamber 4, and the remainder cools the top plate of the outer box 1 and is discharged from the exhaust port 10 to the outside of the range. Inside the cooking chamber 4, hot air circulates along the path indicated by the solid arrow, but since the temperature set by the thermostat 25 is set to a lower drying temperature than the temperature set when the electric oven is operating, the hot air inside the cooking chamber 4 is maintained at a temperature of approximately 80°C to 100°C. Since the steam generated from the object to be dried 20 is discharged outside the oven through the exhaust ports 21 and 22, the object to be dried 20 can be dried extremely efficiently and safely.

By circulating the hot air in the cooking chamber by the circulation means and controlling the drive of the heating element by the holding means, the drying temperature is maintained at a lower temperature than when heating the oven, while cooling air from the high-frequency heating magnetron is introduced into the cooking chamber. It is possible to actively dry the material to be dried by appropriately heating the material to be dried indoors and actively discharging the evaporated moisture. It can be equipped with a drying function for drying, and when drying, only a portion of the cooling air is guided into the cooking chamber by switching the switching damper, so the temperature inside the cooking chamber is extremely low. Therefore, it is possible to realize an efficient drying process.
