Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the dust sucking performance by forming an agitator built in the body of a floor nozzle from a rotor and a flexible embossed band furnished in the longitudinal direction of the circumferential surface of the rotor, and by forming in a suction space a bypass passage leading to a vacuum cleaner in accordance with the end of this embossed band. CONSTITUTION:An agitator 16 facing inside of a suction chamber 12 and a drive motive 25 are furnished in the body 7 of a floor nozzle. This agitator 16 consists of a flexible material in the longitudinal direction of the circumferential surface of a rotor 24 and is equipped with an embossed band 35 having a number of bosses at least on one surface. A bypass passage 37 is formed leading to the vacuum cleaner from part of the suction chamber 12 near the end of this embossed band 35. This allows sure liberation of dust from the surface to be cleaned and enhances the dust sucking performance to the floor nozzle body remarkably. Even at the end or its neighborhood, it is less possible for string-shaped dust such as waste threads to entangle in the same manner as with brush threads in conventional arrangement, and thereby the function as agitator is permitted to exert in good performance at all times, and also the maintenance can be made simply.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, the agitator of this type of floor nozzle has brush bristles planted on the surface of a rotor, and the brush bristles scrape up dust on the surface to be cleaned, for example, a carpet, and the agitator is used as a vacuum cleaner. It was introduced into the floor nozzle by suction force.

Means for Solving the Problems In order to solve these conventional problems, the present invention provides an agitator by providing a protrusion band made of a flexible material on the circumferential surface of the rotor and having a large number of protrusions on at least one surface. - and is provided in the floor nozzle main body together with this drive source, and further has a bypass passage leading from a part of the suction chamber near one end of the agitator to the vacuum cleaner side.

Function In the configuration of the present invention described above, the protruding strip in the agitator has a large number of protrusions formed on at least one surface thereof (the surface on the rotation direction side), and is made of a combustible material, so that it does not come into contact with the surface to be cleaned. When the vacuum cleaner hits the same surface well, dust is released from the surface to be cleaned, and the restoring force of the ridges and the suction force of the vacuum cleaner prevent this loose dust from wrapping around the rotor and effectively move it to the floor nozzle body. It is something that is absorbed inside.

In the above configuration, when the switching lever 31 is now slid to the right in FIG. The suction air collides with the turbine 25, and then flows through the connection port 22 of the suction joint 21, the floor nozzle pipe 24, the extension pipe, and the hose to reach the vacuum cleaner. Therefore, the turbine 26 rotates, and its rotational force is transferred to the agitator 16.

By the way, the agitator 16 is constructed by attaching a protrusion band 35 to the outer peripheral surface of the rotor 34 in the longitudinal direction. The protrusion band 36 is made of a combustible material such as rubber, and has a large number of protrusions 36 formed on at least one surface (the side surface in the direction of rotation).

Now, when the agitator 16 is rotating clockwise as shown in FIG. 5, the protrusion band 36 is displaced in the counter-rotation direction when it comes into contact with the surface to be cleaned, and takes a shape along the surface to be cleaned. After that, the protruding strip 35 covers the surface to be cleaned.

The loose dust is effectively guided into the floor nozzle body 7 by the repelling action of the ridge band 35 when it restores itself in the diametrical direction (due to elasticity and centrifugal force) and by the suction force of the vacuum cleaner.

Here, when the protrusion band 36 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned, it blocks the flow of air from the front, and prevents the suction force of the vacuum cleaner from acting concentratedly and effectively on the surface to be cleaned. encourage

By the way, the repulsive force is small near the end of the protruding band 35, and lint and the like can come off the protruding band 35 and fall into the rotor 34.

However, in this embodiment, since the bypass passage 37 is provided corresponding to the same end, the lint and the like near the end of the protrusion band 36 are transferred to the turbine chamber 13 via this bypass passage 37. That is, it is directly sucked into the suction joint 21.

Effects of the Invention As described above, in the present invention, the agitator installed inside the floor nozzle body is composed of a rotor and a burnable ridge strip provided in the longitudinal direction of the circumferential surface of the rotor. By forming a bypass passage to the vacuum cleaner side in the suction space according to the area, dust can be accurately released from the surface to be cleaned, and the ability to suck dust into the floor nozzle body is also significantly improved. Furthermore, unlike conventional brush bristles, string-like dust such as lint does not get entangled even at the ends, which allows the agitator to function well at all times and is easy to maintain. Can be done.
