Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent written images from being left unerased to trouble the subsequent users and prevent confidential information from being leaked, by forming erasure data by a controlling circuit in response to power-OFF data inputted from a power supply-monitoring and controlling circuit according to a turning-OFF signal for a power supply for the title device, and erasing the written images based on the erasure data. CONSTITUTION:A reading circuit 1 outputs to a controlling circuit 2 a written image signal obtained by reading characters or figures written on a writing surface 7 according to an instruction from the controlling circuit 2. The circuit 2 instructs a storage circuit 4 to store the written image signal. A power supply monitoring and controlling circuit 6 monitors a power supply from start to end of the use of the device, and when the power supply is turned OFF, the controlling circuit 2 clears the memories in the storage circuit 4, and instructs an erasing part 5 to erase the characters or figures written on the writing surface 7. The erasing part 5 moves the writing surface 7 in X-directions, and controls erasing plates 8a, 8b to erase the characters or figures. To copy the writing surface 7, an operating part 2a is operated so that a printing circuit causes a printer 3a to print out the image signal on a recording paper 3 and to output the printed paper 3. When a copy output is not required, the writing surface 7 is moved according to a power-OFF signal to erase the characters or figures, and the power supply of the device is turned OFF.

With conventional electronic blackboards, figures and characters written on multiple writing surfaces on a white board are manually erased after use, so if there is a writing surface that is forgotten to be erased, it can be a nuisance to those who use it later. This has the disadvantage that confidential information may be leaked.

The electronic blackboard of the present invention includes a reading circuit that reads calligraphy drawn on a writing surface and outputs a calligraphy signal, a memory circuit that stores the calligraphy signal for each writing surface, and a recording paper that stores the calligraphy signal stored in this memory circuit. A power monitoring circuit detects power-off of the device and outputs an erasing instruction signal, and an erasing section controls an erasing board based on the erasing instruction signal and erases the drawn calligraphy. The reading circuit 1 reads the characters and figures written on the writing surface 7 according to instructions from the control circuit 2, and outputs a calligraphy signal to the control circuit 2. The control circuit 2 instructs the memory circuit 4 to store the drawing signal. The power supply monitoring control circuit 5 monitors the power supply from the beginning to the end of use, and when the power is turned off, the control circuit 2 clears the memory of the memory circuit 4, and at the same time, the erasing section 5 erases the characters written on the writing surface 1a. Instructs to erase the diagram.

As explained above, the present invention includes a power monitoring control circuit and an erasing unit, and when the power of the device is turned off, erasing information is created in the control circuit based on the power interruption information inputted from the power monitoring and controlling circuit. In the erasing section, there is an effect that the calligraphy and strokes written on the writing surface can be automatically erased without any human intervention.
