Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an in-mold decorated molded piece in which air pores for preliminarily molding a laminated decoration sheet are not presented even if a desired design is imparted by discharging sucked air through the porous cavity wall of the female mold of injection metal molds when the sheet is disposed in the female mold of injection metal molds and preliminarily molded by vacuum molding. CONSTITUTION:At least part of cavity wall of female mold 2B of injection metal molds 2 having a male mold 2A and the mold 2B is composed of a porous electroformed piece 22. The back of the cavity wall of the piece 22 is connected to a vacuum source through a discharge hole 21. A laminated decoration sheet 1A having an arbitrary picture pattern is vacuum molded by utilizing the mold 2B to be preliminarily molded to obtain a preliminary molded piece 1B of the sheet. The piece 1B is placed in the molds 2A and 2B, the molds are clamped to injection mold synthetic resin of the piece 1B, a base material film is removed as required, and a molded piece 3 integral with the picture pattern is obtained.

[Prior art] As a technique for manufacturing decorated molded products, a decorative sheet for lamination with a design is placed in an injection mold, and a molded product with a combined design is obtained by injection molding a synthetic resin. The method is widely used. Decorative sheets for lamination include types in which a pattern-printed layer is placed on a base film and integrated with the molded product at the same time as injection molding, and sheets in which a release layer, a pattern-printed layer, and an adhesive layer are laminated on a base film. There is a type in which the base film is peeled off after molding.

Preforming is usually done using a vacuum forming machine prepared separately, but after preforming using an old injection mold as a vacuum forming mold, the male and female molds are clamped together. Attempts have been made to inject a synthetic resin into a preform.

However, no matter which method is used, the female mold must have one or several (usually) air holes for vacuum suction, and the painting will leave traces of the air holes on the surface of the molded product. It is inevitable that you will remain. It is undesirable for these air hole marks to be visible, and although they can sometimes be successfully removed depending on the design of the image, they often become noticeable and spoil the appearance of the product, lowering its value.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] An object of the present invention is to further develop the above-mentioned technology so that even if a desired design is given to a molded product, air holes are not formed for preforming of the laminating decorative sheets 1 to 1. The purpose of this article is to provide a method for manufacturing a molded article and a mold used to carry out the method.

[Means for Solving the Problems] As shown in FIG. 1, the method for manufacturing a painted molded product of the present invention includes a cavity of a female mold 2B of an injection mold 2 consisting of a male mold 2A and a female mold 2B. A molding device is used in which at least a part of the wall is made of a porous electroformed product 22, and the back of the cavity wall made of this electroformed product is connected to a vacuum source (not shown) through an exhaust hole 21. A decorative sheet for lamination 1A having an arbitrary pattern is preformed by vacuum forming using the above mold 2B to obtain a preformed decorative sheet for lamination 1B as shown in FIG.
After obtaining the preform, this preform was molded into a male mold 2A.

As shown in FIG. 1, the mold used in the above manufacturing method has at least a portion of the cavity wall of the female mold 2B made of a porous electroformed product. Manufacture of molds using electroforming technology is known in various fields, and electroforming conditions that yield a porous body may be adopted. If you want the surface of the molded product to be smooth, give the surface of the electroformed product a mirror finish. Also,
If you want to create irregularities on the surface of the molded product, add the following to the surface of the electroformed product:
It is sufficient to form an uneven pattern corresponding to the pattern.

The material is made to have as many fine holes as possible, for example on the order of microns, and to have sufficient air permeability so as not to interfere with vacuum forming. For example, the one obtained by Ni electroforming is 5
It is preferable that pores of 0 to 150 μm are uniformly distributed.

Of course, it is possible to make the entire old model from porous electroformed parts, but the parts that are not involved in air circulation during vacuum forming do not need to be porous, so only the parts with exhaust holes are made porous. Just make it a pawn.
