Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the fitting of an ornamenting sheet good and simple by forming a portion along the circumference of the ornamenting sheet in a forming base material as a thick portion which is a belt-like projecting portion toward its back side. CONSTITUTION:An ornamenting sheet 2 is fitted on the surface of a forming base material 1. A belt-like projecting portion 4a is formed at a portion along the circumference of the ornamenting sheet 2 in the forming base material 1 and is formed as a thick position having lower filling density than that of the other portion. The circumference as the cut end of the ornamenting sheet 2 is cut by a cutting edge 13 and also is embedded from the surface in the thick portion 4 by the cutting edge 13. Due to this embedding, the density of the thick portion 4 becomes same as the other. Accordingly, finishing appearance is formed good and fitting becomes simple.

断することも試みられているが、ブレス押し切りや加熱
刃による溶断などの裁断方法では適確な裁断が困難で、
刃先により基材の強度を弱めたり端末の仕上りが悪くな
る等の問題がある。

部の山中に埋込んであることを特徴とする自動車内装材
と、この自動車内装材を製造するための、成形基材の表
面に加飾シートを部分的に添着一体化するようにした自
動車内装材の加飾方法において、成形基材の加飾シー]
・を添着しようとする部分の輪郭線に沿った帯状部分を
充填密度が他の部分より粗い17山部として裏側に膨出
させておき、前記輪郭線に囲まれる部分より大きい加飾
シート材を成形基材の表面に添わせてブレス機により貼
着し、この加飾シート材の表側から前記輪郭線に対応す
る裁断刃を打ち込んで該加飾シート材を裁断するととも
に裁断された加飾シートの周縁を厚肉部に埋込んでその
外側に残された切断片を除去することを特徴とする自動
車内装材の加飾方法とよりなるものである。

ートされたファブリック地よりなる加飾ソート(2)と
塩化ビニルシートなどの別の表皮材(3)とにより表装
されている。成形基材filはソノ殆(!’ カ肉’f
K−2〜3 am、充填”J 度0.8〜1.0g/−
程度に成形されているが、加飾シート(2)の周縁と対
応する部分は裏側にのみ肉I!15〜6醋、輻8〜10
 am程度の帯状膨出部(4a)として膨出させた充填
密度0.4〜0.5g/−程度の厚肉部(4)に形成さ
れている。そして、加飾シート(2)の裁断縁である外
周縁と表皮材(3)の裁断縁である内周縁は厚肉部(4
)の表面側から裁断刃により山中に埋込まれ、この埋込
によって厚肉部(4)のうち埋込部分周縁の充填密度は
他の部分に近い密度まで高められている、次に、第3図

裏側にのみ肉厚5〜6韻、幅8〜10mm程度の帯状膨
出部(4a)として膨出されて充填密度0.4〜0.5
g/−程度の厚肉部(4)に形成されているが、加飾時
にはこれを受型上にセットする。そして、成形基材(1
)のうち充填密度が粗となった厚肉部(4)にウレタン
系二液硬化型接着剤のような初期に粘着性ををし、経時
後に硬化する合成樹脂をスプレー、ハケなどでa・要に
応し塗布して厚肉部(4)の基材組織内へ含浸させる一
方、加飾シート(2)を添着させる部分には、スプレー
で通常に使用される接着剤を塗布し、加飾シート(2)
を貼りたい部分の大きさより大きく裁断した加飾シート
材(12)をブレス機を使用して貼着する。そして、こ
のブレス貼着と同時又はあと工程において、前記輪郭線
に対応するブレス弐の裁断刃(13)により加飾シート
材(12)のうち裁断しようとする部分を前記厚肉部(
4)の表面に向け打ち込み、この打ち込みにより所要形
状に裁断すると同時に一般面部より密度が粗で弾力性の
ある厚肉部(4)に埋め込み、成形基材(1)の厚み、
形状のバラツキ裁断刃と成形基材(1)との位置ズレに
よる隙間寸法を吸収する。また、加熱した裁断刃(13
)により加飾シート(2)の端末に形成される硬化部や
玉状の異物は、充填密度が粗でブレス圧により凹状に変
形する厚内部(4)の凹溝の中へ隠される。また、必要
に応じて厚肉部(4)に含浸させた合成樹脂の作用によ
り加飾シート(2)の端末は確実に前記凹部に固定され
、見栄えの良い端末処理ができるとともに寸法精度良く
加飾シート(2)を成形基材(1)の所定位置に貼るこ
とができる。なお、加飾シート(2)を所定の位置へ貼
着後別の表皮材(3)として塩化ビニル樹脂フィルム等
の表皮材料を真空成形等の手段で貼着する場合において
もその端末仕上げは前記工程と同様に行えばよく、この
ようにすれば成形基材(1)の表面を高周波ウェルドに
よる模様付けや飾りモールの取付けなどの後工程を行わ
なくても異質材料できれいに貼り分けることができる。

反りにくくなるなど種々の利点があり、また、本発明に
係る自動車内装材の加飾方法では、成形基材の加飾シー
トを添着しようとする部分の輪郭線に沿った帯状部分を
充填密度が他の部分より粗い厚肉部としておき、この厚
内部に加飾シートの端縁を裁断圧で埋込めるので簡単な
装置で面倒な位置合わせを行うことなく前記した自動車
内装材を効率よく量産できるもので、従来の自動車内装
材およびその加飾方法の問題点を解決したものとして業
界の発展に寄与するところ極めて大きいものである。

り大きい加飾シート材を成形基材の表面に添わせてブレ
ス機により貼着し、この加飾シート材の表側から前記輪
郭線に対応する裁断刃を打ち込んで該加飾シート材を裁
断するとともに裁断された加飾シートの周縁を厚肉部に
埋込んでその外側に残された切断片を除去することを特
徴とする自動車内装材の加飾方法。
