The main switch contact mechanisms that have been put into practical use include a seesaw mechanism and a slide mechanism. First, the seesaw mechanism has a structure in which the movable contact piece is brought into contact with the fixed contact piece by colliding with it, so it is structurally characterized by the fact that it is easy to generate a large contact pressure. The advantage of using a material that does not easily form a hard oxide is that it allows a switch that can conduct a large current to flow. However, no matter how high the contact pressure can be, if a material such as copper that easily forms a hard oxide is used, the contact resistance will be high due to the hard oxide, and the switch contact may generate heat and burn out. There is. On the other hand, when the slide switching mechanism is in a state where appropriate contact pressure can be obtained, due to sliding contact,
It has the effect of removing oxides from the contact contact surface, thereby maintaining good contact contact. However, the slow movement of the movable contact piece causes the arc to be drawn for a long time, which tends to cause the contact piece to burn out. For example, the switching speed of the switch becomes slower, which not only exacerbates the above problems but also increases the rate of wear of the contact surfaces.

A movable contact piece 21 is placed on the upper part of the receiving piece 12, and the push rod 18 described above is attached to the portion of the contact piece 21 formed by the two protrusions 22 provided on the upper surface of the movable contact piece. The tips are engaged. Special contact piece 2
Both ends of the movable contact piece 21 are formed into a V-shape 21a in order to effectively carry out the cleaning action described below, and the side surface of the movable contact piece 21 is provided with a rising part (tongue piece) 12a of the receiving piece 12. Together with this, a lug 23 is formed that restricts the movement of the movable contact piece 21 in the longitudinal direction, that is, in the operating direction of the switch. V-shaped tip 2
1a may be a U-shaped tip. Incidentally, it is also possible to adopt a configuration in which a concavo-convex portion (notch) is formed on the lower surface of the V-shaped tip portion 21a in a direction substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the movable contact piece. Tongue piece 12a of receiving piece 12
It also has the function of regulating the movement of the movable contact piece 21 in a direction perpendicular to the switch operation direction. Further, as shown in FIG. 2, the movable contact piece 21 has a dimensional relationship between the length A of the movable contact piece 21 and the length B between the outer surfaces of the left and right fixed contact pieces 13 such that B>A. When the movable contact piece contacts the fixed contact piece (stop position), the V-shaped tip 21a of the movable contact piece extends from the outside of the fixed contact piece by at least the notch length in which the V-shape is formed. It is formed to project (protrude). Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4a, it goes without saying that the relationship C>D exists between the distance C between the inner sides of the ears 23 of the contact piece 21 and the plate thickness D of the receiving piece 12. do not have.

Next, the operation of the embodiment of the present invention described above will be explained. When the handle 19 is tilted little by little, the movable contact piece 21 is displaced while sliding little by little on the receiving piece 12, and when the push rod 18 comes almost above the receiving piece 12, the movable contact piece 21 is moved to the position where it is now. It suddenly separates from the fixed contact piece that it had been in contact with until then, and then comes into contact with the fixed contact piece on the opposite side. When the handle 19 is pushed down a little further, the movable contact piece 2
1 further slides on the receiving piece in the opposite direction to the tilting side of the handle and is displaced. At that time, the V-shaped tip 21a of the movable contact piece 21 scrapes off the oxidized film and burnt surface of the contact part caused by the arc generated between the fixed contact pieces 13 when the switch is opened and closed, as shown in FIG. 4b. , has a so-called cleaning effect. That is, the V-shaped tip 21a scrapes off oxides and the like on the contact surface using its defects, and collects the oxides and the like at its defects and causes them to fall to the outside of the fixed contact piece 13. 24 indicates powder such as oxides which are thus dropped.

As still another modification of the present invention, the following configuration can be considered. First, as a modification of the movable contact piece 21, as shown in FIG. It is constructed by forming a notch with a width C on both sides, and the notch is connected to the rising part 1 of the receiving piece.
The four lug pieces 23 may be omitted as a structure for sliding on the lug 2a. Furthermore, as an element for regulating the sliding movement of the movable contact piece 12 in the longitudinal direction, in each of the above-described embodiments, the ear piece 23 of the movable contact piece or the notch and the rising portion 12a of the receiving piece are used. Protrusions (not shown) can be provided on both inner surfaces of the main body 11, and the same function can be performed by the protrusions and the ear piece 23 or the notch.
The rising portion 12a can be omitted.

The present invention is constructed as described above, and according to the present invention, not only the movable contact piece simply contacts and slides on the fixed contact piece, but also the tip portion of the movable contact piece having a special structure according to the present invention, When sliding on the fixed contact piece, oxides generated between the contact pieces are effectively scraped off and removed to the outside (self-cleaning). This has the effect that the contact surfaces of the contact pieces can maintain extremely good contact conditions.

Therefore, in the past, even switches of 3 to 5 A and 125 V had to use silver material for the upper and lower contacts, but with the structure of the present invention,
This is no longer necessary, and by using, for example, an inexpensive copper material instead of an expensive silver material, it is possible to easily obtain a switch with the same capacity and characteristics as described above. Further, for example, in the case of a switch of about 10 A, it is sufficient to use silver material for only one contact piece, and the silver saving effect is large even in a switch with a relatively large capacity.

In addition, in the case of an embodiment in which the tip of the movable contact piece is a V-shaped or U-shaped recess, a so-called twin contact feature also appears, and the contact characteristics are further improved.

Furthermore, the movable contact piece slides on the surfaces of the receiving piece and the fixed contact piece, but unlike the conventional linear sliding contact, the movable contact piece slides at an angle, even if the spring of the push rod Even if it is made stronger, the weight of the sliding action is reduced.

In addition, in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, since the dimensional relationship between the length A of the movable contact piece 21 and the distance B between the fixed contact piece 13 is B>A, the movable contact piece is "off". ” side, the inclination angle of the movable contact piece is
Even if the distance is the same as in the conventional case, the distance between the "off" side movable contact piece and the fixed contact piece can be increased. Therefore, the withstand voltage between the contacts is increased, and in this respect, it is possible to obtain a switch with high electrical safety. This effect is particularly noticeable in the case of extremely miniaturized switches as seen recently. It becomes something big.

Furthermore, in the present invention, since the movable contact piece slides left and right, the position where the movable contact piece makes complete contact with the fixed contact piece is different from the position of the movable contact piece that generates an arc during opening and closing, which further stabilizes the contact resistance. can maintain its condition. This principle also explains one of the reasons why good contact can be maintained without using silver material on the movable contact side.
