Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate a multi-color printing with a printer using a thermal transfer ribbon, by providing a thermal transfer ink layer having a tackiness re-releasable from a transfer sheet in a specific range in a 180 deg. angle release test on a base sheet. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ink sheet is formed by providing a thermal transfer ink layer having a tackiness re-releasable from a transfer sheet in the range of 0.1g/25mm-100.0g/25mm in a 180 deg. angle release test on a base sheet. This thermal transfer sheet is laminated on the transfer sheet, such as plain papers, to form recording paper. The recording paper is set to a thermal recorder for measuring instruments instead of heat-sensitive paper, and the thermal transfer sheet is peeled after recording, whereby a recording having good weatherability can be obtained. Namely, this thermal transfer sheet is available for a thermal printer or facsimile not using a conventional ink ribbon. Moreover, by partially laminating the thermal transfer color ink sheet on the transfer sheet, a part having a plurality of colors is easily obtained with a printer using a thermal transfer ribbon, and a recording with superior weatherability is made available.

Slitter and wind up a paper tube with a length of 5° and an inner diameter of 172 inches. A record with good weather resistance was obtained by attaching the recorder to a thermal recorder for an instrument instead of using thermal paper and peeling off the heat transfer sheet after recording. The thermal transfer sheet and transfer sheet of the recording paper had an adhesiveness of 2.51/25 Dragon in a 180° angle peel test. It is also possible to use rosin resin or synthetic rubber instead of amide resin to impart adhesiveness. Further, a u(lfJ agent) may be used in combination to increase adhesiveness.

I tried recording using a thermal facsimile in the same way, but the thermal transfer ink sheet and coated paper peeled off and I couldn't record well. In addition, the adhesive ink d was transferred to the entire surface of the 2-1 paper, and its performance as a coated paper deteriorated.

! In the 80° angle peel test, it had an adhesiveness of 0.05/251 I-. If the adhesiveness is 0.1H/25am or less, the adhesion to the thermal transfer sheet is too weak, resulting in wrinkles during printing. On the other hand, if the adhesiveness is less than 100.0H/25m, the adhesion to the transfer sheet will be too strong.

[Effects of the Invention] As described below, the thermal transfer ink sheet 1- of the present invention can be used in a thermal printer or facsimile machine that does not use a Joto ink ribbon. By laminating them together, it provides an excellent weather-resistant record that facilitates multi-color printing using a thermal transfer ribbon printer.
