Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower a wasteful temperature rise in a cage by attaching a distributed liquid crystal glass plate to a windowpane in the observation cage, making this windowpane in the cage transparent during travel, and opaquing the windowpane during stoppage and inspection of an elevator, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a sunlight proof switch 51 installed between AC power sources R and T is turned to ON, a contact 44a of an operation detecting relay (a) being turned on at the time of operation check is comes to ON, and a contact 40b of an inspection detecting relay (b) being turned on at the time of inspection comes to OFF instead. When a no call detection timer 50 is turned to OFF, voltage is impressed on a distributed liquid crystal glass plate 60 in an observation cage, whereby a windowpane becomes transparent. In contrast with this, if the sunlight proof switch 51 is turned to OFF or the operation detecting relay contact 44a is turned to OFF, or the inspection detecting relay (b) contact 40b comes to ON or a contact 50b being turned to ON by the no call detecting timer 50 after the elapse of the specified time comes to ON, no voltage is impressed in the liquid crystal glass 60 so that it is opaqued. With this constitution, a temperature rise in the cage is prevented from occurring.

(Means for solving the problem) Applying and releasing a voltage to the window glass in the observation cage shown in Figure 1,
A dispersion type liquid crystal glass that is transparent and opaque is installed to make the window glass inside the car transparent while the car is running. On the other hand, if there is no call for a certain period of time and the door is closed, a no-call detection device is activated. When the observation elevator is not operating or being inspected, the window glass inside the car is made opaque to prevent sunlight from entering the car.

Incidentally, FIG. 2 is a diagram showing the principle of dispersion type liquid crystal glass. There is a transparent electrosensitive film between the glasses, and there are liquid crystal molecules inside the capsule, which align in a certain direction when a voltage is applied, allowing light to travel straight through them, making the glass transparent.

In FIG. 4, a relay contact 41a (not shown) between the DC power supply PN for confirming door closure that turns on when the door is fully closed, and a contact B (not shown) for detecting a call in the upward direction that turns on when a call is made in the upward direction
There is a circuit in which a no-call detection timer is operated, consisting of a downward direction call detection relay b contact 43b (not shown) that is turned ON when a downward direction call is made, and a sunlight protection switch is provided between AC power supplies R and T, and the switch is turned ON. When the operation detection relay A contact 44a, which is turned ON during operation confirmation, is turned ON, and the inspection detection relay B contact 40b, which is turned ON during inspection, is also turned OFF, and the above-mentioned no-call detection timer is turned OFF, the distributed liquid crystal display in the observation compartment cage is turned OFF. A voltage is applied to the glass 60, making the window glass transparent.

Conversely, when the sunlight protection switch 51 is turned OFF, the operation detection relay contact 44a, which is turned ON during operation confirmation, is turned OFF, or the inspection detection relay contact b, which is turned ON during inspection, is turned OFF.
When contact 50b, which is turned ON after the no-call detection timer 50 has passed for a certain period of time, is turned ON, the dispersion type liquid crystal glass 60 in the observation section cage becomes opaque because no voltage is applied thereto.
