Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title gourd with peculiar image, suitable for gifts, etc., by growing the original gourd in a specified mold to provide the skin with unevennesses on which specified shapes or pictures can be formed. CONSTITUTION:After seeding, germination and growing, a shelf pref. 2m high is constructed, and until the bine reaches the shelf, the buds put forth from respective knots are picked off with an appropriate number of said buds left. A gourd is germinated and at a point when the gourd is grown to a desired size, this gourd is put into an interior formed by a force 6a and a bottom force 6b, being further grown until the gourd fills the space 7 to form a skin 1 with uneven surface, followed by reaping the resultant gourd, seed removal and drying, thus obtaining the objective gourd with a hollow 2 therein.

(Prior art) Gourds are generally made by removing the inside of the fruit of a tropical gourd plant and drying the outer skin to make a container, and this method has been used since ancient times. The gourd seeds are sown in good soil from late March to early April, harvested from late August to early September, and then the contents are removed. Removing the contents is a laborious process, and after making a hole slightly smaller than the diameter of the vine at the cut end of the vine, placing it in a container such as a plastic bucket, and soaking it in water for about two weeks,
Take it out, scrape off the outer skin, and patiently shake out the rotten sludge and seeds. After drying, the outer surface is roughly polished with 1-on nylon, then carefully polished with a rasha cloth, and then tied with decorative strings and displayed in store as souvenirs. By the way, gourds are made in this way, and although they differ in color and luster and size, their general shape is almost the same, and because they are so common, there are few cases of people taking gourds home as souvenirs. In other words, gourds are a tropical plant, but because they can be cultivated in various parts of Japan, it is not easy to express the local characteristics of the gourds. In many cases, they are used as souvenirs to represent the characteristics of the area.

The present invention is a technology developed with the aim of solving these problems, and provides an irregularly shaped gourd that is grown in a shape that suits the characteristics of the land by breaking the shape of the gourd, and a method for cultivating the same. Mochiya pumpkins will also be targeted.

(Structure of the present invention) The gourds and pumpkins according to the present invention are not shaped like original gourds, etc., but are gourds, etc. decorated with local famous places, historical sites, etc., and a part or the whole of the outer surface is decorated with the above-mentioned famous places. , gourds, etc., are shaped from historic sites, etc., and it is obvious from just looking at the shape of the gourd, etc. where it is a souvenir. Of course, the inside has a large cavity like a conventional gourd, and the outer surface is formed with irregularities of a predetermined shape, and the necessary parts of the irregularities can be colored with an appropriate color. For example, the entire gourd may be shaped as a large Buddha, or part of the outer surface may be decorated with the Seto Ohashi Bridge as a concave-convex pattern, or sometimes these shapes may be lined up with letters or marks that form a convex shape. By the way, in the cultivation of such irregularly shaped gourds, they are shaped by putting them into a predetermined mold, but in metal plastic processing and plastic injection molding, the gourds that have grown large are put into a mold and molded. Since it is impossible to do this, it is possible to obtain a gourd with the same shape as the mold by placing it in a predetermined mold when it is small and filling the inside of the mold with gourds as it grows larger. Here, the basic cultivation method is the same as the conventional cultivation method.

(Example) Fig. 1 shows a gourd modeled after a Great Buddha, and the outer skin 1 has the shape of a Great Buddha. Of course, the inside has a cavity 2, and the outer skin 1 having a substantially constant thickness is uneven in the shape of the Great Buddha, and a mouth 4 protrudes from the upper end of the head 3. Also outer skin 1
Because the details of the shape are unclear from just the uneven shape, the eyes, nose, eyebrows, and clothing are painted in appropriate colors.

In Figure 2, a part of the outer surface 5 of a gourd is molded with Tojinbo, one of the famous spots in Fukui Prefecture. The shape of the gourd remains as a whole, and only the rocky part of Tojinbo stands out from the outer surface 5. It is formed in parallel and is colored in an appropriate color. The characters "Tojinbo" are written at the bottom, but in this case as well, it is preferable not only to simply write the characters, but also to make them appear raised in a convex shape.

By the way, FIG. 3 shows a method of cultivating such an oddly shaped gourd. Figure 3 is an example of a cultivation method, and only shows the main process. First, the seeds are sown at an appropriate time, and once they have sprouted and reached a certain height, they will grow to a height of about 2 meters. A shelf is built and the buds from each node are plucked until the vines reach the nuclide, leaving an appropriate number of buds, and when the gourd has reached the desired size, it is molded.

FIG. 4 shows a small gourd placed in a mold 6, which consists of an upper mold 6a and a lower mold 6b, with an upper and lower mold 6a,

The inner surface 8 of the space 7 has a predetermined shape and is uneven, and as the gourd becomes larger, the space 7 is filled with the gourd, and the outer surface 5 of the gourd comes into close contact with the inner surface 8 of the mold 6.

, 6b are completely restrained apart from each other so that no gaps are formed. Therefore, when the entire outer surface 5 is attached to the inner surface 8 of the mold 6 and the gourd has the same shape as the space 7, it is removed from the mold 6, the vines 9 are cut, and the gourd is harvested. After harvesting, the seeds are removed and dried in the same manner as in conventional gourd processing, followed by glossing the surface and other finishing touches such as coloring. Here, in the mold 6, the space 7 is
It has the shape of the Great Buddha shown in the figure and the rocky area of Tojinbo in Figure 2, and a mold 6 or a wooden mold made of plaster, cement, etc. is used.

As mentioned above, the irregularly shaped gourds, etc. according to the present invention are those whose shape is molded into a special shape, or where a certain convex pattern is formed on a part of the outer surface, and has the following effects. can be obtained.

In particular, if a gourd shaped like the Great Buddha is used as a souvenir from a visit to Nara's Great Buddha or Echizen Great Buddha, as mentioned above, and it is not possible to decorate a famous place or historic site with the overall shape, a part of the outer surface may be convex. By expressing it with a pattern, a uniqueness is created that cannot be obtained with a simple two-dimensional design. Therefore, the odd-shaped gourds are made in different shapes as souvenirs from all over the country, and can be the best souvenirs representing the characteristics of each region.
