Conventionally, the alignment work in the above-mentioned case has been carried out by first untwisting the core wires at the end of the cable, and then aligning the untwisted core wires in a plane to correspond to the terminal arrangement of the connector. However, since all of the work is done manually by workers, when the number of cores in a round multi-core cable reaches several dozen, it is difficult to twist the cores together. There is a problem that the burden placed on the worker increases and the working time increases significantly due to work such as loosening the fibers. From the viewpoint of reducing the burden on the worker and shortening the working time, it is recommended to automate the fiber alignment work. was requested.

In addition, when performing the alignment work using the method described above, if there is no suitable jig to save the alignment state of the aligned core wires and you want to save it, you may need to save the aligned core wires. A method has been adopted in which adhesive tape is pasted on top of the wire group to connect the core wires to each other, but with this method, some of the core wires may peel off from the adhesive tape. , there was a risk that the alignment would be disrupted.

The holder 2 has one end surface (lower end surface in FIG. 1) fixed to the connecting plate 3, and a lower plate material 2b having a step 2a formed on the other end surface, and fixed to the other end surface side of this lower plate material 2b. It consists of a prismatic upper plate material 2c, and both plate materials 2 are separated by the step 2a mentioned above.
A slit-like notch 4 is formed between b and 2c.

This notch 4 is for holding the core wires of the round multi-core cable 5 in a line, and the width W is the core wire 5a.
The width is set to be approximately equal to the outer diameter D of the opening end 4a, and the width is expanded on the open end 4a side so that the core wire 5a can be easily inserted therein. The notches 4, 4 of each holder 2, 2 are aligned with each other, and the holder 2 as a whole is arranged near the other end (the other end) so that an appropriate distance from the connecting plate 3 is maintained. In Figure 1, it is located near the top.

With such a structure, if the opening ends 4a of the notches 4 are inserted toward the aligned group of core wires 5a as shown by arrow A in FIG. 1, each notch 4 will be inserted as shown in FIG. , 4, and the core wires 5a can be inserted into each core wire

Further, as described above, the core wire 5a can be inserted into the notch 4 by simply moving it linearly along the direction of the notches 4, 4, and the operation is easy, so automation is easy to perform. It is also easy to use when automating the alignment work. In addition, as shown in FIG. 1, the case where the core wires 5a are aligned in advance and inserted into the notch 4 has been described, but the core wires of the round multi-core cable 5 are untwisted and pressed flat. Even if there is a slight twist in the core wire 5a, since the opening end 4a of the notch 4 is widened, the core wire 5a can be smoothly guided into the notch 4. can.

Furthermore, in this jig 1, the cut portions 4, 4 are spaced apart from the connecting plate 3, thereby forming spaces on both sides of the plane formed by the held fiber alignment portion 6. By using the fiber gripping device 7 that operates simply as shown in Figures A to D, it is also possible to take out the core wires 5a one by one from the open end side of the notch 4. When automating the work of testing the conductivity of the wires 5a one by one, it can be combined with the core wire gripping device 7 to assist automation, and compared with the case where the core wires are connected to each other with adhesive tape or the like. Therefore, it has high utility value.

Briefly explaining the fiber gripping device 7 shown in FIGS. A separation claw 9 movable in a direction intersecting the plane formed by the group, a presser plate 10 movable in the alignment direction of the core wires 5a, and the movable frame 8 move to cut into the movable frame 8. It is composed of a sensor 11 that detects insertion of one core wire 5a on the open end side of the section 4, and drive devices 12, 13 such as air cylinders that linearly move the separating claw 9 and the holding plate 10, respectively. However, since all movable parts including the moving frame 8 move in a straight line, the operation is simple and control is easy.

In addition, in FIG. 1, the jig is inserted and attached to the group of core wires 5a that have been aligned in advance, but conversely, one core wire that is not aligned is inserted into each notch 4 of the jig 1. The alignment portion 6 may be formed by sequentially inserting the holes one by one.

As explained above, the wire holding jig of the present invention holds two locations on a group of wires in a line using the slit-like notches formed in a pair of parallelly spaced holders. This structure preserves the fiber alignment part where the fibers are aligned in a plane between both notches, and since the notch firmly restricts the movement of each fiber, it is difficult to use adhesive tape, etc. Therefore, compared to the case where the core wires are connected to each other, the alignment state is less likely to collapse, and the alignment state of the core wire group can be reliably preserved. Therefore, after holding the core wire,
When attaching a connector to the terminal, etc., each core wire can be handled integrally using a jig, and the aligned state can be reliably maintained even during handling. In addition, since the notch is formed at a distance from the connecting plate, even when the connecting plate is placed on a workbench, the core wire can be supported while floating from the workbench. The work of attaching the connector, etc. can be significantly facilitated.

In addition, the notches of each holder are aligned in the same direction and the open ends face in the same direction, so when a group of core wires are aligned, it is easy to simply insert the core wires with the open ends of the notches facing the group. It can be attached to the core group with a simple operation, and since the operation is easy in this way, it is also easy to automate the operation.

In addition, since spaces are left on both sides of the fiber alignment section held in the notch, for example, using the fiber gripping device shown in FIG. It is also possible to take out the wires, and when automating the work of testing continuity of each core wire one by one, it can be combined with the wire gripping device shown in Figure 3 to assist automation. This method has higher utility value than the case where the core wires are connected to each other.
