考案の実施例を説明する。 In this type of conventional automatic paper feeder, the paper feed roller and ejection roller are placed close to the platen.
Therefore, the paper feed stacker and the paper discharge stacker are provided relatively close to the platen. When using this automatic paper feeder, for example, when typing several sheets of paper, or when typing on a type of paper that cannot be used with the automatic paper feeder, it is necessary to remove the automatic paper feeder itself from the printing device. This removal and reinstallation was extremely troublesome work. The present invention aims to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks in conventional automatic paper feeders. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

This forms a winding paper feeding introduction section that winds the paper around the platen circumferential surface. An automatic paper feeder according to the present invention, generally designated by the symbol 5, is attached to the paper feed section of the printing device, and this automatic paper feeder 5 is equipped with a paper feed stacker 6, a paper discharge stacker 7, and a guide body 8. . The paper feed stacker 6 is provided with a push-up bottom plate 9 that supports the front part of the paper stack thereon, and a paper feed roller 10 that contacts the topmost sheet of the paper stack and sends it out to the platen 1, and a paper discharge stacker 6. 7
A pair of paper discharge rollers 11 and 12 are provided for pinching the paper fed above the guide body 8 and discharging it onto the paper discharge stacker 7. 13 is a guide board, 1
Reference numerals 4a and 14b are paper leading edge detection devices, and 19 is a pair of guide side plates.

Therefore, both the cover plate and the guide body are attached to the support shaft 16. It is possible to flip upwards around the . When the guide body 8 and the lid plate 17 are closed as shown, they are held in the operating position by appropriate stoppers (not shown). The paper feed path P and the paper ejection path Q are formed. When the cover plate 17 is flipped up around the support shaft 16, the paper ejection path is opened, and when the guide body 8 is also flipped up, the paper feed path is opened, so that even if a jam occurs in any paper path, it can be easily removed. can be processed.

It's summery. Thus, when the paper discharge stacker 7 is flipped up, the upper part of the paper feed stacker 6 is opened, making it extremely easy to store the stack of sheets in the paper feed stacker. Therefore, the distance between the paper feed stacker 6 and the paper discharge stacker 7 can be kept relatively narrow when the paper discharge stacker 7 is in the illustrated operating position.

のプラテンへの装填が可能となる。 The guide body 8 is provided with a manual feed slit 20 that passes through the guide body 8, extends in the width direction, and faces downwardly into a wrapping paper feed introduction section formed by the platen 1 and the pinch rolls 2. By flipping up the cover plate 17 around the support shaft 16 as described above, a desired sheet of paper can be manually fed through the slit 20. For this reason, the width of the slit 20, as shown in FIG. 2, is formed to correspond to the width of the maximum sheet that needs to be manually fed. Although not shown, the automatic paper feeder is provided with a drive motor that rotates the paper feed roller 10, and when manually feeding the paper, this drive motor is stopped to interrupt the automatic paper feeding operation. In this way, manual paper can be loaded onto the platen by simply flipping up the cover plate without removing the automatic paper feeder from the main body of the printing device.

Not only does it perform an automatic paper feeding function, but also manually fed paper can be easily loaded onto the platen, and there is no need to remove the automatic paper feeding device from the main body of the printer when manually feeding paper. Furthermore, the manual feed slit is configured so that the wrapping paper feed introduction section faces downward, so when the manual feed paper is put into the manual feed slit, the manual feed paper falls under its own weight and reaches the wrap paper feed introduction section. Its posture is corrected by the skew adjustment effect. Furthermore, since no pushing force is required when manually feeding paper, the leading edge of the manually feeding paper is not deformed.
