Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate a reception side to know to what extent a received picture is reduced by providing a means which generates the original size information of an original and synthesizes this information and a picture signal corresponding to the original. CONSTITUTION:The original size information generating part 3 of a facsimile transmitter 1 generates the information for generating a scale to be shown on the original size information display device 8 of the received picture 7. An original reading part 2 scans and reads the original, and generates the picture signal of black and white or a half tone, and the picture signal from the reading part 2 and the original size information from the generating part 3 are synthesized by a band compressing part 5 through a switch 4, and transmitted to a line through a transmission control part 6. Accordingly, the original size information can be transmitted together with the original. Thus, the receiving side can easily know to what extent the received picture received by it is reduced.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a facsimile machine, and more particularly to a facsimile machine that can add additional information to a part of a document and send the facsimile machine.

In conventional facsimile machines, if the document size on the sending side is larger than the recording paper size on the receiving side, the sending side automatically reduces the size and sends it, but the received image obtained on the receiving side does not contain original size information. In the figure, the original size information creation section 3 of the facsimile transmitter 1

[Claims] In a facsimile machine that converts a document into an image signal and transmits the image signal, means for generating original size information representing the original size of the document;
A facsimile device comprising means for generating an image signal by scanning and reading a document, means for synthesizing the original size information and the image signal, and means for transmitting the output of the synthesizing means to a line.
