A slender steel adjuster rod whose length can be adjusted freely is embedded in the housing. As an example of a method of reinforcing such an adjuster rod by embedding it in the neck of a guitar, a groove with a width equal to the diameter of the adjuster rod is provided on the back side of the neck and is gently curved in an inverted arc shape. Drill a through hole on the tangential extension line of the groove so that it communicates with both ends of the groove, and install the adjuster rod by inserting it through this through hole and through the groove. Tighten the nut at the tip of the adjuster rod to tighten the neck. After reinforcing
A commonly known method is to fill in the empty space where the groove remains with buried wood and reinforce it.

As described in Publication No. 33590, the neck of the guitar is bent into an arc shape in advance, a straight long hole is drilled along the entire length of the neck, and both ends of this long hole are counterbored to form the tip of the neck. A reinforcing method is known in which an adjuster rod is inserted through the neck portion, a counterbore hole on the distal end side of the neck portion is filled with wood, and the reinforcing or straightening stress is adjusted using a nut at the end of the adjuster rod.

This requires a large number of steps such as trenching, drilling, and filling the shade with wood, which is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and the marks left by the wood filling are unsightly.
Particularly, the wood filling in the groove part requires pressure work to determine the depth, width, length, and arcuate shape, which poses problems such as being quite troublesome.

In the case of the illustrated embodiment, the elongated hole 5 is a blind hole, but it goes without saying that the long hole 5 is not limited to a blind hole and may be a penetrating hole. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, the elongated hole 5 can also be opened from the head 3 of the neck 2 of the guitar, and a long drill with a relatively large diameter can be used, so accuracy can be improved. Furthermore, if necessary, the neck portion 1 having the elongated hole 5 can be impregnated with resin in a vacuum or pressure cooker containing resin to perform resin impregnation treatment.

It is composed of. A first metal rod 11 having a rectangular cross section is fixed at one end to a second metal rod 12 having a circular cross section, for example, by explosive welding or brazing, and a cylindrical sleeve 14 is fixed to the other end. The other end of the second metal rod 12 is slidably inserted into the sleeve 14 of the first metal rod 11 . Further, the other end of the second metal rod 12 is threaded and has an elongated nut 16 screwed thereon. Therefore, the nut 1 at the other end of the second metal rod 12
When the first metal rod 6 is tightened, the first metal rod 11 is deformed and curved, and stress is applied to the first metal rod 11.

For example, a necessary amount of epoxy adhesive 17 may be injected into the bottom of the metal core 10, and one end of the metal iron core 10 to be inserted may be glued and fixed, or as shown in FIG. 'A semicircular piece of wood 18 is glued and fixed along the wall surfaces of both +1111 at the entrance of the elongated hole 5 over an appropriate length to prevent rotation of the bimetallic iron core 10 to be inserted. It is preferable to do so.

All you have to do is insert a bimetallic iron core made of two types of metal rods, tighten the nuts on the bimetallic iron core, and bend and deform the bimetallic iron core to apply the specified stress for reinforcement and straightening, which greatly reduces the number of steps. This eliminates the need for troublesome embedding of long grooves, which saves time and effort, eliminates the need to treat the adjuster rod with a release agent that accompanies this embedding process, and eliminates the need for any bending of the neck. The desired functions can be achieved with fewer steps and in a shorter time, and the neck itself can be further strengthened.
