Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable effective utilization of an installation place for an air conditioner, by providing a casing of the air conditioner with a recess for use as a store at a position below the height of persons and with a diffuser at a position above the height of persons. CONSTITUTION:An automatic vending machine 30 is contained in a recess 32 in a room-side heat exchanging unit 31, and is provided therein with a heat exchanger 33 and a fan 34 for cooling or heating foods. The heat exchanger 33 is connected in parallel with a room heat exchanger 35 incorporated in the unit 31 by a refrigerant pipe 36, which is embedded in a floor to be connected to an exterior heat exchanging unit. With this construction, it is possible to omit an installation space for the vending machine 30 for heating or cooling the foods and vending them. By connection of the heat exchanger 33 in the vending machine 30 and refrigerating apparatuses such as the heat exchanger 35 in the beat exchanging unit 31 to each other, a piping work can be carried out at a time. Thus, an installation place for the air conditioner 31 can be effectively utilized, and the utility value of the air conditioner 31 can be enhanced.

(B) Conventional Technology Conventionally, an air conditioner placed on the floor of a room requires a larger installation space than a ceiling-mounted air conditioner or a wall-mounted air conditioner. Therefore, in order to reduce the installation space as much as possible, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 45-21498 discloses an air conditioner in which the cross-sectional area of the lower part of the housing is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the upper part, so that the entire housing has a substantially T-shaped structure. It is shown.

(8) Problem to be solved by the invention Although installing such an air conditioner on the floor reduces the installation space, the location where the air conditioner is installed is
There was an issue of the space becoming a space with no added (usage) value. In particular, such air conditioners are installed in large halls of buildings,
This problem becomes more serious when the system is installed in a place where land prices are high, such as in a hall.

The present invention makes a part of the place where an air conditioner is placed a space with additional (utilization) value, and even if a person approaches this space, the air conditioner is not affected by the air discharged or sucked in from the air conditioner. The purpose is to prevent this from happening.

(n) By providing a recess for storing items at a position lower than the height of the worker and an air outlet at a position higher than the height of the person, this recess will be removed after the air conditioner is installed. The space is used as a storeroom for goods. Furthermore, by covering the recess with a transparent cover, exhibits can be placed in the recess. Furthermore, by storing a device for cooling or heating food in the recess, the recess can be used as a refrigerator or a hot storage.

(G) Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention provides an air conditioner in which a heat exchanger blower, etc. is housed in a vertically elongated casing that is placed on the floor of a room. A recess for storing goods is provided at a lower position than the height, and an air outlet is installed at a position higher than a person's height, so after the air conditioner is installed, this recess can be used as a storeroom for goods. This makes it possible to effectively utilize the location where the air conditioner is installed. This makes it possible to increase the added (utilization) value of the air conditioner.
