Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep excellent yellowing resistance and light resistance by a process wherein pile yarn is made of a cation-dyable polyamide fiber, it is dyed with acid dyes, and it is treated with fluororesin. CONSTITUTION:Components of a titled carpet are necessary for satisfying a claim formula <I>. In the formula <I>, the amount of end-amino group (a) is 10eq/T and below, and the amount of sulfonate group (S) is 0.3mol.% and up. A cation-dyable polyamide fiber is made from a compound forming a polyamide and an aromatic compound containing a sulfonate group (showed in a claim structural formula <II>). The former is a copolymer such as nylon 6, nylon 66 and so on, or their blend, and, in the formula <II> of the latter, (X) is an identical or different functional grope (where R is alkylene group with one carbon to five, and R' is alkyl group with one carbon to five), (Z) is an aromatic base, (m, n) are the number of (1) or (2), and (M) is hydrogen. After that, the cation-dyable polyamid fiber is dyed with the acid dyes of metal complex (1:2 type) (where the pH of their solution is 7-8), and then water and oil repellent treatment is applied on the fiber by fluororesin.

<Prior art> As a method for preventing stains that occur when foods (or beverages) containing artificial coloring adhere to polyamide carpets and are left unattended, (1) ``Method of using nylon containing aromatic sulfonate groups in the polymer.'' (USP No. 4,579,762) (2) "Method of immersing in an aqueous solution of a condensed compound containing a sulfonate group" (USP No. 4,592,940), etc. are known. However, with the polymer modification method (1), the antifouling property is not satisfied in light and medium colors, probably due to the amount of terminal amino groups. The amount of terminal amino group is 10 eq/
If it is less than T, stain resistance can be obtained, but the colored hue of medium color or higher is insufficient and it cannot be used as a pile yarn. Next, when the method described in (2) is applied to pile yarns made of ordinary polymers that do not contain sulfonate groups, if treated with a treatment bath concentration that satisfies the stain resistance, yellowing and discoloration due to sunlight irradiation will occur. is remarkable. As described above, it is extremely difficult to obtain a carpet that can simultaneously satisfy stain resistance and discoloration resistance.

Although it is possible to dye with disperse dyes, cationic dyes, etc., these dyes have weak binding strength, resulting in low fastness and dyeing rate of less than 1 hue area, making it impossible to obtain a satisfactory hue range. Cationically dyeable polyamide fibers dyed with metal-containing 1:2 type acid dyes have high color fastness and are resistant to stains caused by acid dyes for food additives. In addition, in order to prevent stains caused by Van der Waals bonds between food additive acid dyes and fibers that occur over time, as well as normal water-based and dry stains, water and oil repellency treatment is applied with a fluorine-based resin. The fluororesin treatment may be performed after dyeing or before dyeing, and the latter is more durable.

Main colorants Azo dye: Sunset Yellow FCY (yellow) Tartrazine (yellow) Amaranth (red) Xanthine dye: Phloxine (red) Triphenylmethane dye: Brilliant Blue FCF (blue) F. Green FCF (green) Inagoid dye: . Indigo carmine (blue) Stains caused by these dyes are based on strong ionic bonds with polyamide fibers, making it difficult to remove stains, but the carpet of the present invention is inert to acid dyes. It is made of cationically dyeable polyamide fibers that do not form ionic bonds, and uses pile threads treated with fluororesin, so it is less susceptible to water-based and dry stains as well as stains caused by food additive colorants. Furthermore, since the dyed pile yarn is dyed with a metal-containing 1:2 type acid dye, the binding force between the fiber and the dye is strong and it has high fastness against light, moisture, and friction.
