Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a simple thawing chamber, capable of setting and maintaining an independent stabilized temperature band, by a method wherein a shutter, opening and closing a cold air outflow port for the thawing chamber of a temperature regulating device, is provided while a control button, opening and closing the shutter at the front surface of the thawing chamber, is provided. CONSTITUTION:When a control button 33 is switched leftward, shutters 35, 36 are slid outwardly in conjunction with each other and a discharging hole 26e is closed whereby cold air, discharged out of the cold air discharging port 32 of a temperature regulating device 27, is intercepted by the shutters 35, 36 and flows into a cold storage chamber 7. Accordingly, the cold air does not flow into a thawing chamber 23 and the temperature of the same chamber becomes +3-5 deg.C whereby frozen food can be thawed quickly and is not rotted even when it is stored as it is. When the control button 33 is switched rightwardly, the shutters 35, 36 are slid inwardly in conjunction with each other, the discharging hole 26e is opened and the cold air, discharged out of the cold air discharging port 32, is sent into the thawing chamber through the discharging hole 26e whereby the temperature in the thawing chamber is kept in a low-temperature of 0--1 deg.C and the thawing chamber 23 may be used as a low- temperature chamber for storing meats and the like.
