The present invention was made in view of the current state of the work of cutting seaweed leaves as described above, with the purpose of providing a device that can mechanically automate this work, and its configuration is in the shape of an appropriate box frame. Two spray nozzles are attached to the frame that can be slid and fixed in the width direction of the frame and spray high-pressure, high-speed fluid downward. At the same time, a wakame seaweed is placed below the spray nozzles between the two nozzles. Wakame fixing parts that can position the front side of the midrib and the midrib in the longitudinal direction of the frame are arranged on a slat-shaped conveyor and on both sides of the upper surface of the conveyor, and are attached to the conveyor. The wakame placed on the wakame is formed by a presser conveyor that presses it from above except for the midrib, and the two nozzles and the wakame placed and fixed on the wakame fixing part are moved relative to each other. This is a characteristic feature.

In the figure, 1 is a frame in which appropriate shapes are assembled by welding or the like to form the outer shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, and 2 is a frame 1 to which an injection nozzle 3 is attached.
A nozzle mounting frame 3 is mounted horizontally on the upper surface of the frame 1, and 3 is an injection nozzle mounted on the mounting frame 2 facing downward substantially vertically, and the nozzle slides on the mounting frame 2 in the vertical direction and the length direction of the frame. It can be fixed, and the mounting angle is also variable here. Here, the sliding means with respect to the mounting frame 2 is achieved by, for example, using the mounting frame 2 as a guide and loosely fitting the bracket-shaped nozzle support part 3a thereto, and the fixing means is such that this support part 3a is attached to the mounting frame 2. This is done by fixing with fixing means 3b such as screws.

An example of the conveyor 5a is formed by a fence-like chain, and the holding conveyor 5b is formed by arranging two belt conveyors parallel to each other with the portion narrowed by the nozzles 3 separated from each other. Incidentally, since the running speeds of the belts of both conveyors 5a and 5b are the same, a driving source (not shown) is used in common.

When the seaweed is conveyed while being pressed by the holding conveyor 5b and passes through the frame 1, the water jetted at high speed and high pressure from the jet nozzles 3 collides with the joint between the midrib of the seaweed and the base of the leaf. The seaweed leaf pieces are successively cut by the jetted water.

For example, the frame 1 is made movable along the transport conveyor 5a, and the frame 1 is moved while cutting each leaf piece from the midrib of the wakame seaweed sandwiched between the holding conveyor 5b and the transport conveyor 5a.

Note that the midrib of wakame seaweed has different thicknesses between its base and tip. For this reason, in the device of the present invention, it is preferable that the separation width between the nozzles 3, 3 can be changed during cutting according to the thickness of the midrib of the wakame seaweed, that is, the width of the midrib seen from a plane. . This change may be made manually, but for example, the width of the midrib may be monitored and detected by an optical, electrical, or magnetic method, and the width of both nozzles 3, 3 may be changed according to the detected width. By making the adjustment automatic, the nozzle width adjustment can be automated.

The present invention is as described above, and conventionally, leaf pieces were cut from the midrib of wakame seaweed by hand. A high-pressure, high-velocity liquid is sprayed thinly from a jet nozzle on both sides of the midrib, and the leaf pieces are fixed with the jet nozzle. By relatively moving the wakame seaweed along the midrib, each leaf piece was cut from the midrib.
The cutting operation can be easily made continuous and automated, and therefore, labor-saving and highly efficient leaf cutting operation can be realized, so it is extremely useful in wakame processing operation.
