Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent hot blast in a drying part from being sent to a development processing part by forming an aperture in the vicinity of the communicative holes between the drying part and the development processing part and sucking dry wind through this aperture. CONSTITUTION:A sensitive material P such as a photographic paper on which an image is printed is sent to a development processing part 12 and successively processed in developing tanks 16 and 18, a fixing tank 22, and a water washing tank 24 and sent to a drying part 14. In the drying part 14, the sensitive material P is wound around the outside peripheral surface of a winding drum 38 and moved toward rolls 42 and 44, and hot blast is blown from a slit 52 to a hot blast duct 46 to dry the material P. Hot blast is circulated in the direction of an arrow A and sucked through a suction hole 56A of a duct 56 and sent to a fan 48. Thus, air in the processing part 12 is partially sucked through a communicative holes 28 in the vicinity of the suction hole 56A and hot blast in the drying part 14 does not flow to the processing part 12.

In the drying section, warm air is supplied to the photosensitive material passing therethrough by a fan driven by a motor. Therefore, the internal pressure of the drying section is higher than that of the developing section, causing warm air from the drying section to flow into the developing section from the opening connecting the developing section and the drying section. In this case, the portion of the transport roller exposed from the processing liquid such as the developer dries, causing chemicals to precipitate or the concentration of the processing liquid to change.

In the drying section 14, the photosensitive material P held between the conveyance rollers 32 and 34 is wound around the outer periphery of the winding drum 38 and moved in the direction of the conveyance rollers 42 and 44. Warm air is blown out from the slits 52 of 46 for drying. This hot air circulates in the six directions of the arrows through the duct 5.
The air is sucked through the suction port 56A of No. 6 and sent to the fan 48. Therefore, part of the atmospheric air in the developing processing section 12 is sucked through the communication port 28 near the suction port 56A, and the warm air from the drying section 14 does not reach the developing processing section 12 through the communication port 28. Therefore, there is no problem caused by an increase in the ambient temperature of the development processing section 12.
