In the adsorbent-filled column, the adsorbent is held in a column provided with filters with appropriate openings on both sides of the inlet and outlet to prevent the adsorbent from flowing out due to the flow of body fluids.
Naturally, the fineness of the filter is determined by the size of the adsorbent, so if the adsorbent is damaged due to vibration during transportation and fine particles are generated, the fineness of the filter may be reduced. If an adsorbent is used, it is necessary to select a very fine filter. However, due to strength problems, it is difficult for membrane filters, which are fine-mesh filters, to come into direct contact with and support the filled adsorbent layer. Therefore, in the past, a membrane filter unit was installed in the circuit on the downstream side of a normal column to remove particulates;
As described in Japanese Patent No. 59543, methods have been adopted in which the generation of fine particles is prevented by controlling the filling state of the adsorbent. Note that the filter in this specification refers to a normal filter,
This concept includes predetermined mesh nets, cloth, etc.

するフイルターでは実用上問題がある。 In FIG. 2, the adsorbent 15 is held by an inlet side filter 8 attached to a filter ring 7 and an outlet side filter 10 attached to a filter ring 9.
It enters the column body 1 through the inlet nozzle 2 fixed to the column body 1 with the cap 5, passes through the adsorbent 15, absorbs unnecessary substances and toxins, and then enters the column body 1 through the packing 11. It exits the system through an outlet nozzle 4 fixed by a cap 6. There is a pressure loss of several mmHg to several tens of mmHg due to the body fluid passing through the adsorbent 15, and a corresponding force is applied to the outlet filter 10. Therefore, the outlet side filter 10 needs to have a strength that can withstand this force, and there is a problem in practical use with a filter having fine pores such as a membrane filter.

により、該問題を解決したものである。 The present invention solves the above problem by installing double adsorbent holding filters on the outlet side, the most downstream side adsorbent holding filter being a membrane filter with an opening of 0.05 to 10μ, and the most downstream side being a membrane filter with an opening of 0.05 to 10μ. This problem has been solved by using an adsorbent-filled column for body fluid treatment, which is characterized in that the adsorbent holding filter is fixed and sealed using a ring-shaped sealing material.

The structure on the upstream side is the same as before, but filters 13 and 14 fixed to the ring 12 are installed on the downstream side. The filter 13 located on the more upstream side serves to prevent most of the adsorbent from flowing out and to support the adsorbent.
Fabric filters such as PP, PET, and nylon with a mesh size of 10 to 1000 μm are preferably used as adsorbents for treating body fluids. Enough to support it.

serves to prevent the outflow of microparticles that cannot be prevented by the filter 13, and the opening is determined depending on the size of the existing microparticles, but a membrane filter of 0.05 to 10μ is usually used. The filter 14 is sandwiched and fixed between the ring 12 and the O-ring 16. Further, the O-ring 16 is restrained by the ring 12, the support 3, and the outlet nozzle 4, and as a result, it comes into close contact with the inner wall of the column body 1, so that the liquid inside the column can be sealed. The O-ring 16 contacts the filter 14 supported by the ring 12, the outlet nozzle 4, and the column body 1 at the same time;
Each seal is sealed, making assembly easier and reducing the amount of sealing material compared to conventional methods.As a result, the work is simplified and product safety is improved. be. The filter 14 does not come into direct contact with the adsorbent layer,
The filter 14 receives only a force proportional to the pressure loss caused by itself, which has the advantage of eliminating the above-mentioned strength problem and improving the overefficiency of the filter.
