Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity for driving a pin using a gun and facilitate selection of the shape of pin and number of pins by boring a spike pin insert hole from the opposite surface to the surface to work as tread surface, forming tread member by means of vulcanization, and attaching it to the tire body after insertion of pins. CONSTITUTION:A spike tire tread member 3 is provided with an insert hole 2' so as to allow insertion of each spike pin 5 from the opposite surface to the surface which works as tread surface, which is followed by vulcanization and shaping. The spike pin 5 is inserted in this tread member 3 followed by fixation to the tire body 7 with a cushion sheet 6 and damping material 8 interposed. This constitution permits anybody of perform operation to drive pins certainly. The shape and size of the pin and the number of them can be selected easily.

In addition, when manufacturing a retreaded spike tire, for example, using a mold 1 having a protrusion 2 for forming a pin driving hole shown in FIG. 2 (A), the mold shown in FIG. A method of creating a vulcanized tread member 3 having a pin driving hole 2' corresponding to the protrusion 2 of the tread member 3, and bonding and integrating this tread member 3 with the tire body 7 with a cushion rubber 6 or the like interposed (generally, precure - A method of forming a tread using an unvulcanized rubber composition on the tread surface of a worn tire body to be retreaded and vulcanizing it using a mold (generally called remold retreading). ) is applied.

However, such conventional methods of manufacturing spiked tires first require gun equipment for driving the spike bottles, which requires equipment costs, space, and labor for driving the spike bottles. There is a risk of damaging the tread part due to pin driving with a gun, and the spike pin cannot be driven perpendicular to the driving surface.
The discharge amount of the pin is not constant, and if you force it too much, the tip of the gun will break, so you have to correct it.
There were many problems such as the long working time and the fact that driving requires skill (beginners cannot drive spike pins). Furthermore, if the spike pin is made of a material with low rigidity, such as plastic or rubber, there is a drawback that the pin cannot be driven.

The object of the present invention is to provide a vulcanized tread member having through-holes for inserting spike pins from the surface opposite to the surface constituting the tread surface of the tire (the surface bonded to the tire body), as well as this tread member. This can be achieved by inserting a spike pin into the pin insertion hole formed in the tread member and then bonding the spike pin insertion surface to the tire body.

That is, instead of driving pins into the tire tread surface with a spike gun, a vulcanized or semi-vulcanized tread member is used as a strip or in a ring shape, and spike pins that are previously provided on the tread member are used. In this method, the pin 5 is inserted into the insertion hole 2°, and then this pin insertion surface is joined to the tire body 7 to manufacture the tire.
