Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a good printing result, by smoothing a magnified character based on a dot matrix type font by vicinal four-point comparison. CONSTITUTION:This system is constituted of a master control part 1, a program ROM 2, an RAM 3, a dot matrix pattern ROM 4 and a printing control part 5. Smoothing processing is performed by the control from the master control part 1. Now, when Y=(AXB)X(CXD) is operated noticing four points A, B, C, D with respect to a Y-part in an X-direction, Y=(0X0)X(1X1)=1 holds. When Y=1 is obtained by this logical formula, a dot is added and, when Y becomes 0, no dot is added. In the same way, operation is performed in the other three directions.
