エル瓶のゴム栓に刺し込んで使用するものであ
り、瓶内の血液または薬液が点滴セツトの導液管
を伝つて自然流下できるようにしている。このエ
アー針は上記目的のために使用されるが、エアー
を単に瓶内に供給すると、大気中に浮遊する各種
の不純物を瓶内の血液または薬液中に溶解または
混入する虞れがあり、エアー針には必ずフイルタ
を備え、上記不純物を除去できるようにしてい
る。従つて、かかる機能を要求されるエアー針は
一般の注射針をもつて代用させることはできず、
従来は輸血または輸液用点滴セツト専用の付属品
として製造されていた。この例として実開昭58−
92946号公報がある。これは点滴施行中に瓶内の
血液または薬液が針内に逆流する現象によつてフ
イルタが濡れ、エアーの供給が不能となることを
防止するためにフイルタを二重にし、その一方を
撥水性を有する物質で形成したものであるが、フ
イルタの交換を必要とする事態に直面した場合
に、その代替えがないという問題があつた。勿論
エアー針の予備を仕入れておくことは可能である
が、特別仕様のエアー針はコストが高くなるとい
う問題があつた。

等の侵入を完全に防止でき、一般に汎用されてい
る安価な注射針をエアー針として使用することが
