Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a low-noise air cleaner by providing an air-permeable porous sound absorbing layer impregnated with a odor destroying agent to the inner peripheral face of a fan casing housing a centrifugal fan. CONSTITUTION:An air cleaner consists of a centrifugal fan 2, a motor 3, a fan casing 4, a dust-proof filter 5, a odor consuming filter 6 and a body 7 for housing them. An air-permeable porous sound absorbing layer 1 impregnated with a liquid-odor destroying agent is provided to the inner peripheral face of the fan casing 4. As the air-permeable porous sound absorbing layer 1, a continuous permeable foam sheet of such as urethane resin and synthetic rubber is used. Therefore in the cavity part 10 surrounded by the air-permeable porous sound absorbing layer 1, amplification of noise due to resonance is reduced in comparison with the cavity part 10 surrounded by the fan casing 7 made of a steel sheet reflecting sound wave.

Generally, an air purifier includes a centrifugal fan 2, a motor 3, a fan casing 4, a dust filter 5, as shown in FIG.
It consists of a deodorizing filter 6 and a body 7 that houses them. As the centrifugal fan 2 driven by the motor 3 rotates, air flows in from the suction port 8 of the body 7, passes through the dust filter 5 and deodorizing filter 6, enters the centrifugal fan 2 through the bell mouth 9, and exits from there. The air passes through the cavity 10 surrounded by the fan casing 4 and is discharged from the outlet 11. When air passes through the dustproof filter 5 and the deodorizing filter 6, the dust and odors in the air are removed. If the density of the deodorizing filter 6 is increased in order to improve the removal ability, the density of the deodorizing filter 6 is increased. The flow resistance increases, and as a result, in order to secure a certain amount of air volume, it is necessary to increase the rotational speed of the centrifugal fan 2, which poses a problem in that the noise generated from the centrifugal fan 2 increases. The noise generated from the centrifugal fan 2 is amplified by the resonance of the cavity 10, and then propagates to the outside mainly through the air outlet 11 and the suction port 8.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and its purpose is to reduce the rotation speed of the centrifugal fan by reducing the flow resistance of the filter. , and to provide a low-noise air purifier by suppressing resonance in the cavity.

The air purifier according to the present invention eliminates the need to provide a deodorizing filter in front of the centrifugal fan by providing a breathable porous sound-absorbing layer impregnated with a deodorizing agent on the inner circumferential surface of the fan casing, thereby reducing flow resistance. This results in a reduction in the rotational speed of the centrifugal fan and suppresses resonance in the cavity.

The inner circumferential surface of the fan casing 4 is provided with an air-permeable porous sound-absorbing layer l impregnated with a commercially available liquid deodorant. The breathable porous sound absorbing layer 1 is made of urethane resin,
A continuous ventilation foam sheet made of synthetic rubber or the like is used. The cavity 11 surrounded by the air-permeable porous sound-absorbing layer 1 has less amplification of noise due to resonance than the cavity 10 surrounded by the fan casing 7 made of a rigid plate that reflects sound waves. Further, the air blown by the centrifugal fan 2 is deodorized while passing through the porous sound absorbing layer 1 surrounding the cavity 10.

In addition, a dust filter 5 is provided on the suction surface of the centrifugal fan 2.
The flow resistance of the air flow path is reduced by the removal of the conventional deodorizing filter, and the centrifugal fan 2 only needs to be installed.
A certain amount of air volume can be secured even if the rotation speed is reduced.

As described above, according to the air purifier of the present invention, since there is no need to provide a deodorizing filter at the suction port, the noise generated by the fan is reduced, and the noise amplification caused by the resonance of the cavity is suppressed by using the porous sound absorbing layer. The dual effect of suppressing noise makes it possible to realize a low-noise air purifier. Since the air blown by the centrifugal fan is deodorized while passing through the porous sound-absorbing layer surrounding the cavity, the air cleaning effect of deodorization is ensured.
