Claims

Claims: 1. A golf ball dispensing and teeing device comprising hopper means for supporting a number of golf balls and said hopper means for dispensing one golf ball at a time. a first drive means for actuating said feeding means; a tube means for receiving golf balls one at a time from said feeding means; said tube means spaced apart from said hopper means; a stop means movable between a golf ball retaining position and a release position for releasably retaining the golf ball within the tube means, at the open free end of the tube means; gripping means for gripping a golf ball at the open free end of the tube means; and gripping means for gripping a golf ball at the open free end of the tube means;
sliding means supporting said gripping means for moving the ball, said stop means being moved to an open position and immediately upon release of said golf ball from said tube means, said stop means is adapted to stop said golf ball holding means; means for resting the apparatus on a tee remote from the open free end of the tube means for receiving a golf ball from the gripping means;
a first step for actuating said slide means to move said gripping means between a retracted golf ball picking position and an extended golf ball placement position on top of said teeing means; a first coin actuated control means for placing a predetermined number of golf balls into said tube means;
said first means for moving said sliding means and said gripping means to a golf ball depositing position and for causing said gripping means to release a golf ball onto said means for resting said golf ball on said tee; a second user-actuated control means for controlling the operation of the second drive means. 2. a first motor means for actuating said supply means, a first coin actuated switch means for starting said first motor means, and a certain set time of said motor means; and first timer means for allowing a predetermined number of golf balls to be dispensed into said tube means for each coin. A device according to claim 1. 3. an orifice in said hopper means for said feeding means to discharge golf balls into said tube means;
disc means connected to said first drive means for rotation over said orifice, and a plurality of discharge openings in said disc means for aligning with said orifice once at a time. 3. The apparatus of claim 2. 4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the aperture and orifice are aligned so that the apparatus includes covering means for covering the aperture when golf balls are dispensed one at a time. 5. The stop means is connected to the golf ball holding position;

The apparatus of claim 2 including arm means pivotable to and from a released position and first spring means biasing said arm means to said golf ball holding position. 6. platform means, track means on said platform means, and rack means supporting said gripping means slidably mounted on said track means;

The apparatus of claim 2 including pinion means coupled to said second drive means for moving said rack means along said track means. 7. said gripping means comprises bracket means on one end of said rack means; fixed cup means on one side of said bracket means; and said first cup means for gripping a golf ball. 7. The apparatus of claim 6 including movable cup means on the other side of said bracket means opposite said fixed cup means for movement toward and away from said fixed cup means. 8. The apparatus of claim 7 including solenoid means supporting said movable cup means and connected to said second control means. 9. The apparatus of claim 8 including second spring means for returning said movable cup means to a rest position. 10. said second control means includes timer means coupled to said solenoid means and said second drive means for initiating actuation of said second drive means and outward movement of said rack means; 10. The device according to claim 9. 11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein said second control means includes a second switch means for causing said second drive means to be closed by a golf club head to actuate said second drive means. 12. said second control means includes a third switch means actuated by said rack means to reverse said drive means, said rack means moving from an extended golf ball loading position; 12. The device of claim 11, wherein the device is adapted to be returned to a retracted rest position.
