Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a composite cord compact and enhance its flexibility by integrating a hollow tube and an electrical wire, and using an elastomer of a thermoplastic polymer for one of the hollow tube, an insulating layer and a protective layer. CONSTITUTION:A cable comprising the electric conductor 4 of a fine wire made of annealed copper coated with an insulating layer 5 and a hollow tube 3 are aligned so as to be integrated with a reinforcing layer 2 made of paper, fiber of the like and be coated with a protective layer 1, thereby constituting a composite cord. By using an elastomer of a thermoplastic polymer for at least one of the hollow tube 3, the insulating layer 5 and the protective layer 1, the composite code having excellent flexibility can be obtained.

In Figures 1 and 2, materials can be selected according to the required performance, such as a Teflon hollow tube for the hollow tube, a polyester block polymer for the insulation coating, and soft flame-retardant PVC for the protective layer. . However, in the present invention, it is necessary that at least one of the hollow tube, the insulating layer, and the protective layer be made of a thermoplastic polymer elastomer in order to obtain a flexible composite cord with excellent flexibility. FIG. 3 shows an example of another embodiment. Although it is better to have the reinforcing layer 4, it is not necessary. Further, in the present invention, the insulating coating and the protective layer may be made of the same material, or each may serve the same purpose. In other words, one or the other may be absent. Furthermore, in order to further exhibit the effects of the present invention, there is a curled composite cord obtained by curling the obtained composite cord. An example of the curled composite cord is shown in Fig. 4. It is a composite cord with excellent elasticity and resilience.
