Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily install a camera even having no tapped hole not to mention a camera having a tapped hole to a universal head by providing a bearing on the side of the universal head while using an inverted L-shaped supporting tool. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 2 and a screw 3 are provided on the side of a universal head 1 and a mounting screw 4 is vertically movable. An inverted L-shaped supporting tool 8 having a cylinder portion 6 and an elastic portion 7 is used. In the case of a camera having a mounting hole, the camera 9 is placed on the universal head 1 and installed by clamping the mounting screw 4 as before. In the case of a camera having no mounting tapped hole, the camera 9 is placed on the universal head 1 and the cylinder portion 6 of the supporting tool 8 is inserted into the hole portion 0 of the bearing 2. Then, by placing the supporting tool 8 on top of the camera 9, the whole is pressed from above as shown by the arrow and fixed by clamping the screw 3.
