For this purpose, the addition of polytetrafluoroethylene and fluorinated graphite to lubricating oils has been widely studied and partially put into practical use, and although these have excellent performance, they use solids that do not dissolve in lubricating oils. There were restrictions on the range of use.

However, this fluorine-containing organosiloxane containing ordinary alkyl groups such as methyl groups has poor solubility in ester-based lubricating oils, and there is a new problem that the improvement effect on lubricating performance is small. Understood. As a result of further studies to solve this problem, we found that by using a fluorine-containing organosiloxane containing a hydrocarbon group with 5 to 40 carbon atoms including an ester group, solubility was improved and lubrication performance was improved. The inventors have discovered that an ester-based lubricating oil with significantly improved results can be obtained, leading to the present invention.

The polyfluoroalkyl group (branched or linear perfluoroalkyl group or alkyl group in which some of the fluorine atoms of this perfluoroalkyl are substituted with chlorine atoms or hydrogen atoms) has 1 to 20 carbon atoms, preferably 3-14
A perfluoroalkyl group is preferably used. If the number of carbon atoms in the perfluoroalkyl group is smaller than this, the effect of improving the lubricating properties will be small, and if it is larger than this, the solubility in Nisder type lubricating oil will not be sufficient, which is not preferable. The bonding group between the polyfluoroalkyl group and SiO is preferably an alkylene group or a phenylene group. As an alkylene group, -011゜-, (C11□)2-1(CI+□)3-, (CH□)
4-1H3, and (CI+2)2 is preferable for manufacturing reasons.

The organosiloxane in the present invention has 5 to 5 carbon atoms and contains an ester group as well as a polyfluoroalkyl group described in 01j.
It is important to contain 40 hydrocarbon groups as essential groups. That is, ordinary fluorine-containing organosiloxanes having both a polyfluoroalkyl group and a methyl group have insufficient solubility in ester-based lubricating oils, and cannot obtain the effect of improving lubrication performance. According to the studies of the present inventors, the poor solubility is caused by the fluorine content of other hydrocarbon groups such as alkyl groups (hereinafter simply referred to as non-fluorine hydrocarbon groups) relative to the fluorine content in the polyfluoroalkyl group. It was found that this occurs when the content is insufficient. On the other hand, even if the non-fluorine hydrocarbon group is a methyl group, solubility is improved by not reducing the number of carbon atoms or fluorine content of the polyfluoroalkyl group, but on the other hand, the lubricating performance of the polyfluoroalkyl group is was found to decrease. Since the organosiloxane in the present invention contains a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms including an ester group in addition to a methyl group as a non-fluorine hydrocarbon group, it can be used without reducing the fluorine content. It also has excellent solubility while maintaining the performance improvement effect.

The hydrocarbon group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms and containing an ester group is a hydrocarbon group having a linear, branched, or cyclic structure having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, preferably 8 to 35 carbon atoms, and including an alkyl Nisder group. Preferably, a hydrocarbon group having a linear structure having 8 to 35 carbon atoms and containing an alkyl ester group has excellent solubility and is more preferable. Particularly preferred are alkoxycarbonylalkyl and acyloxyalkyl having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, preferably 8 to 35 carbon atoms, and -C1l□O

For the 40 hydrocarbon groups, groups having different numbers of carbon atoms may be used in combination. Furthermore, in the organosiloxane of the present invention, in addition to the above-mentioned polyfluoroalkyl groups and hydrocarbon groups having 5 to 40 carbon atoms, including ester groups, non-fluorinated groups such as alkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, aryl groups, etc. It may contain a hydrocarbon group or hydrogen.

If the fluorine content is less than this range or if the non-fluorinated hydrocarbon group content is greater than this range, the effect of improving lubricity will be small. Furthermore, if the fluorine content is too high, the non-fluorinated hydrocarbon group content is too low, or the SiO content is too large, the solubility in lubricating oil will be poor, which is not preferable.

[Function] In the present invention, the organosiloxane having both a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms including an ester group and a polyfluoroalkyl group has a property that the organosiloxane has a hydrocarbon group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms including an ester group, and is capable of being added to lubricating oil by the hydrocarbon group having 5 to 40 carbon atoms including an ester group. The polyfluoroalkyl group imparts solubility and has the effect of significantly lowering its surface tension.
