Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve efficiency by switching the discharging passage of an original, distinguishing a normal reading original and an abnormal reading original so as to discharge them when abnormality is detected by detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The original 1 in an original supply magazine 1 is sent to a discharging passage separating device 8 by an automatic feeding device 2 through feeding rolls 4a and 4c. At that time, double feeding detection part 3 detects the abnormal state such as the double feed of the original. Between the rolls 4b and 4c, a light-reception part 6 receives a light transmitting the original by using a light source 5. Furthermore the light is amplified by an amplifier 7, and a processing such as the detection of A/D conversion data abnormality is executed in a data processing part 11. The discharging passage separating device 8 switches the carrier passage of the original in accordance with a read abnormal signal from the double feeding detection part 3 or the data processing part 11, and separates the original to discharge it to a pane 9 in a normal case, and to a pane 10 in an abnormal case. Thus, the especially efficient automatic picture reading system can be constituted.

In the above-mentioned conventional image reading device, the same tray is ejected and collected on the tray regardless of whether or not there is an abnormality in the original being read. Since it is necessary to monitor the data, or a method is used to search for abnormal originals in contrast to normally read data, there is a disadvantage that it takes a very long time to take out the abnormal originals and is inefficient when reading them again. be.

The image reading device of the present invention is an image reading device that digitizes translucent originals, and includes a detection means for detecting a reading abnormality, and when the detection means detects an abnormality, switches the ejection path of the original to make it normal. The apparatus includes an ejection path separating means for discharging read originals and abnormally read originals separately.

Further, the light transmitted through the original using the light source 5 between the rollers 4b and 4c is received by the light receiving section 6, and after being amplified by the amplifier 7, the data processing section 11 detects abnormality in A/D conversion data, etc. processing is performed. The ejection path separation mechanism switches the document conveyance path in response to a reading abnormality signal from the double feed detection section or the data processing section. Separate the documents and eject them.

As a result, the normally read original document tray is discharged onto the tray 9. On the other hand, if a reading abnormality is detected, the movable document guide is controlled to be set at the digit 1 of the guide reading abnormality position t102b, and the document is ejected to the tray 10 via the roller 100c. , and are separated from normally read originals.
