Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a manual printer which is convenient for service and with which printing can be easily performed on every possible places, by a method wherein a top end heating element array of a thermal head is established at an edge of a box body, and a part of a rear side end face in a transfer direction of the box body is notched so that the top end heating element array may be visually observed. CONSTITUTION:When printing is performed on a note or the like having a rule mark with a manual printer, as the start position of printing, a printer transfer direction is made coincident with a notched part 26f of a box body 26. Since besides an end face 26e of the box body 26 is notched and a thermal head 1 and an ink ribbon 17 can be visually observed from the arrow F direction, a center of the thermal head 1 is made coincident with a center of the rule mark of printing paper. A printing impossible area is an area wherein a distance B, a distance to a heating element array of the head 1 in total width E of the box body is subtracted from a difference in level part by left and right pages at a center of a note. Thereby, the printing start position can be visually observed, and can be easily judged from a changing part of the box body. Therefore, printing paper on which a printing possible area is determined becomes easily printable.

(The problem that the invention aims to solve) In such a conventional example, when printing on printing paper etc. on which ruled lines are pre-printed, the print embossing position is unknown, so the user has to rely on the user's feeling, and the process is repeated many times. I kept failing. In addition, the scope of use is limited and the product has drawbacks such as not being able to fully demonstrate its functions. The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate such drawbacks and to provide a user-friendly product that anyone can easily print anywhere. The objective is to provide a manual printer that can fully demonstrate its functions.

- (Means for solving gaps and illumination points) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention installs the tip heating element array of the thermal head at the end of the housing, and installs the tip heating element array at the end of the housing so that the tip heating element array can be seen visually. A part of the rear end surface in the direction of movement was cut out. In addition, the notch on the side surface in the moving direction of the housing was formed so as to start from an extension of the row of heat generating elements at the tip end of the head.

Reference numerals 8a, 6b, and 8c are drive rollers □, which are arranged on both sides of the thermal head 10 together with the drive rollers □ and θd, and are rotatably engaged with the frame 7 by the drive rollers 5. At this time, the lowest point A of the drive rollers (2) and (2) in the drawing almost coincides with the position of the tip heating element array of the thermal head 1. The drive roller (2) includes a rubber roller part 6 & which functions as a wheel in contact with the recording medium, a ratchet part 6b which allows rotation only in the driving direction, and a gear part which transmits power to the transfer ribbon feed and detection wheel 12. It is composed of 6C.

Reference numeral 21 denotes a ratchet pawl that engages with the ratchet portion 6b of the drive roller (2) to prevent the drive roller from rotating backward, and is biased clockwise in the figure by a ratchet pawl spring 21. Reference numeral 1B denotes a head storage lever, which is rotatably attached to the head holder shaft 4 and engaged with a claw clutch 2a integrated with the head holder 2, as shown in FIG. Reference numeral 18 denotes a head storage switch that is slidably engaged with the frame 7. When this switch is slid, the head storage lever 18 that is engaged with the bin 1θa that is integrated with the head storage switch 18 rotates, and the head holder 2 and the thermal head 1 are moved. It is rotated around the head holder shaft 4 and stored.

When printing on a notebook with ruled lines using a manual printer,
The printing position is (■) The direction of printer movement is casing 2.
Align with the notch 28f of No.6. (2) The other side is housing 2
Since the end surface 26e of 6 is cut out, the thermal head 1 and the ink ribbon 17 can be visually seen from the direction of arrow F. (not shown) Align the center of the thermal head 1 with the center. The non-printable area extends from the step between the left and right pages in the center of the notebook to the entire width E of the housing 26.
This is the area obtained by subtracting the distance 1iIIIiB by the distance of the heating element row name of the head l. However, the step part of height H, the slope part 26b
This often results in a narrower printable area. FIG. 6 shows a printing model in which the unprintable area becomes narrower.

In this case, the unprintable area is a distance C obtained by subtracting approximately the width B and the distance to the stepped portion 2E3c from the overall width E of the housing by the distance of the head heating element row name.

According to the present invention, the printing position can be visually observed. In addition, the printing position can now be easily determined from the switching section on the housing, making it easier to print on paper with a fixed printable area, making it possible to fully utilize the functions of a manual printer. .
