Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber stopper for masking adequate for an automatic masking operation by providing a head part of the diameter larger than the diameter of a tapered main body part integrally to the upper part of said main body part via a short cylindrical part and providing a recess to be engaged with the tip of a revolving bit atop this head part. CONSTITUTION:The short cylindrical part 3 is provided integrally to the upper part of the tapered main body part 1 consisting of, for example, neoprene rubber, etc. The recess 4 of, for example, a cruciform shape, to be engaged with the tip of the revolving bit is provided atop this head part 3 to form the rubber stopper for masking. る。

知られている。ところが従来のゴム栓は単なる円錐状あ
るいは円錐名状のものであり、人手によって1個ずつワ
ークの孔に差し込む必要があるため、マスキング作業に
多くの時間と手数を必要とする欠点があった。また特開
昭60−206189号公報にはこの種のマスキング用
ゴム栓をワークに自動的に取付けるための装置が示され
ている麻、マガジンからゴム栓を取りワークに取付ける
ための機構が複雑であるうえ、単にゴム栓をワークの孔
部に挿込むだけであるので、ゴム栓が外れたりマスキン
グが不完全となり、めっき液等の処理液がワークの孔内
に侵入してメソキされ不良品を発生することがある等の
欠点があった。

てはいけない孔を自動的に、がっ確実にマスキングする
ことができるマスキング用ゴム栓及びその取付装置を提
供することを目的とするものである。

ようなマスキング用ゴム栓の取付装置は、昇降動する取
付ヘッドの下端に、その中心孔の内部に空気圧によって
供給されてくるマスキング用ゴム栓の大径の頭部をチャ
ックするチャック爪を開閉自在に設けるとともに、取付
ヘッドの上部にはマスキング用ゴム栓の頭部の上面の凹
部と係合してマスキング用ゴム栓をワークの孔にねじ込
む回転ビットを昇降自在に取付けたことを特徴とするも
のである。

本発明の取付装置は上記のようなマスキング用ゴム栓を
ワークに対して自動的に取付けることができるものであ
り、マスキング用ゴム栓の供給に空気圧による圧送方式
を採用したこととも関連して、極めて能率良くマスキン
グ作業を行うことができる。よって本発明は従来の問題
点を一掃したマスキング用ゴム栓及びその取付装置とし
て、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。
