Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate mechanical resonance in a coil itself and to perform accurate recording and reproduction on an optical disk by holding an elastic body in the gap part of the coil. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 1 is fixed on an objective lens holding body 2 with a rectangular coil 3 which holds the elastic body 11, and is connected to a turning body 5 by an elastic member deformable freely in a focusing direction E and the turning body 4 is supported by a bearing 6 in such a way that it can be turned freely. And when a current corresponding to a quantity of plane shaking of the disk is supplied to the coil 3, a coil part 3b in a magnetic gap formed by a yoke 7c and a magnet 8 generates a driving force electromagnetically in the focusing direction E, however, since the elastic body is held in the gap part between the coils 3a and 3b, the deformation of the coil part 3b can be eliminated, and no mechanical resonance is generated, and the objective lens can be moved by a change quantity corresponding to a command current from the outside. In such a way, it is possible to perform the recording and the reproduction of information on the disk accurately.

A driving force in the focusing direction E is applied electromagnetically by a magnetic circuit composed of C and a magnet 8, and the driving force is applied electromagnetically in the focusing direction E to follow the surface runout of the disk, and also to move the disk in the tracking direction F.
It rotates around the bearing 6 by a drive circuit not shown in the figure. In the cross-sectional view shown in FIG. 2, when a current corresponding to the amount of surface runout of the disk is supplied to the coil 3 from the outside, a portion 3b of the coil in the magnetic gap formed by the yoke 7C and the magnet 8 electromagnetically focuses. A driving force is generated in the direction E, and in the conventional optical disk recording/reproducing device, the portion 3b is slightly deformed, resulting in mechanical resonance, which is transmitted to the objective lens.
