Currently used textile printing machines include hand printing machines, automatic screen printing machines, rotary screen printing machines, roller printing machines, etc. All of these machines perform single-sided printing, and double-sided printing with these printing machines is virtually impossible. For example, automatic screen printing machines are designed to stretch the original fabric on a rubber transfer belt and print on top of it, so if you want to perform double-sided printing with this machine, you can print on one side of the original fabric and then print on it. This must be peeled off from the transfer belt, turned over, and printed on the opposite side while matching the front and back patterns, which is extremely difficult. If the printed patterns on the front and back sides shift from each other, the shifted parts will appear like shadows on the other side, making the pattern unclear and unsightly. Due to these circumstances, double-sided printing has not been performed until now, and all printed products on the market are single-sided printed.

However, with single-sided printed fabric, there is a clear distinction between the front and back sides, and it can be said that the applications and forms of use are restricted accordingly. If double-sided printing could be done accurately, the fabric could be used on both sides, broadening its uses, and since the pattern would retain its clarity for a long time, it would be beautiful and could be used for many years.

The raw fabric M stands up in the width direction with one longitudinal edge facing down, and is fed out in a substantially horizontal direction. Reference numerals 1 and 2 denote transfer belts that sandwich the raw fabric M from both sides and transfer it horizontally in one direction (arrow A), and are composed of an endless belt having a mesh. , 6 and are intermittently fed in opposite directions for a fixed length. In the illustrated example, the transfer belts 1, 2 are made up of meridians 7, 8 running along both sides in the longitudinal direction, and a number of latitude lines 9, . . . running between the meridians 7, 8 in the width direction, as clearly shown in FIG. As a result, the transfer belts 1 and 2 are formed with a full width elongated mesh 10. For the latitude line 9, a thin stainless steel wire with a diameter of about 10 μm is usually used. Screen frames 11, 12, 1 are provided on both sides of the transfer belts 1, 2 that sandwich the raw material M.
3, 14, 15, and 16 are arranged. These screen frames 11 to 16 are arranged in pairs, and the number of pairs corresponding to the number of colors to be printed (three pairs in the figure) are provided at regular intervals along the transport direction A of the original fabric M. Each pair of screen frames is positioned opposite to each other with the original fabric M and the transfer belts 1 and 2 in between. It is assumed that each screen of the pair of screen frames is formed with a pattern that is plane symmetrical to each other. 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 22 are each screen frame 11~
16, the screens of opposing screen frames form pairs with each other, and each pair of screens synchronously moves from bottom to top in contact with the screen, applying printing paste to the same location on the original fabric from the front and back. It is designed to be rubbed. Reference numerals 23 and 24 denote cleaning devices which are located in the forwarding path of the transfer belts 1 and 2 and remove the printing paste adhering to the belts 1 and 2.

Each screen frame 11 to 16 is connected to a transfer belt 1, 2
The screens 17 to 22 press and separate from the belts 1 and 2 in relation to the forwarding and stopping of the screen frames 1 and 2, and each screen frame 1 follows the screen frames 11 to 16.
It moves up and down within 1 to 16, but these movements are caused by the screen frame in existing automatic screen printing machines,
Since the movement is almost the same as that of the cage, the explanation of the drive mechanism will be omitted.

In the above configuration, the raw fabric M is held between the transfer belts 1 and 2 in an upright position in the width direction and is transferred in the horizontal direction. When the transfer of the original fabric M is temporarily stopped, the screen frames 11 to 16 and their cages 17 to 22 approach from both sides, and the screen frames 11 to 1
6 comes into contact with the original fabric M through the mesh of the transfer belts 1 and 2, the cages 17 to 22 located at the lowest positions of the respective screen frames 11 to 16 move up while rubbing the printing paste onto the original fabric M. At this time, since the pair of scales move synchronously with each other, the sliding ends of each scale will pinch the same place on the transfer belts 1 and 2 and the original fabric M from both sides, and There is no risk of M being bent. By the operation of the screens 17 to 22 described above, printing is performed on both sides of the original fabric M at once, and then each screen frame 1
1 to 16 are separated from the transfer belts 1 and 2 together with the cages 17 to 22, and in connection with this, the transfer of the transfer belts 1 and 2 is started again, and the original fabric M is transferred a certain distance. By repeating this series of operations, different colors are printed one after another on the front and back sides of the same location on the original fabric M, completing a multicolor pattern on the original fabric M.

In this invention, as described above, the original fabric is sandwiched and transferred by a transfer belt with a mesh, and both sides of the original fabric are printed by the screen frames and the screen frames placed opposite to each other on both sides. Since the screen frame and the cage are applied to the front and back sides of the same place, it is possible to match the patterns on the front and back extremely accurately, and it is possible to print a pattern with no misalignment between the front and back sides.

Moreover, since both sides can be printed at the same time, the printing process can be completed in the same amount of time as conventional single-sided printing, making it highly efficient and requiring less bulky equipment.

Furthermore, the printed material obtained in this way can be used for double-sided printing without distinguishing between the front and back sides, and can be used for applications that have not been used conventionally. For example, if a fabric printed on one side is used as a partition curtain, the back side will be unsightly, but the fabric produced by the printing machine of this invention has a printed pattern on both sides, so both sides look good and are suitable for partition curtains. Also, since the same pattern is printed on both sides, the pattern is clear and
It does not lose its sharpness even after many years of use, and when used as a towel, for example, it can be used as a beautiful item for a long time.

Note that the transfer belts 1 and 2 may be constructed of thin members such as thin wires and have a large mesh, but as shown in the example, a vertically elongated mesh 10 having a full length of thin wires running in the width direction, By forming ..., there is less catching and resistance to the sliding movement of the cages 17 to 22, leaving no traces of mesh on the printing pattern, and the amount of printing paste adhering to the transport belts 1 and 2 is also reduced. .
