Storage at freezing temperatures is considered effective in preserving fresh food for as long as possible without impairing its taste, but such ice-temperature storage is not used commercially in the distribution channels of the food industry. The reality is that it has not been widely used in general household refrigerators and freezers. In other words, conventional refrigerator-freezers of this type have a freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment for food storage, and each compartment provides a temperature of -18°C or lower and around 5°C, so both are satisfactory with their advantages and disadvantages. It did not have a long storage function. In other words, although freezing is effective in keeping food fresh for a long time, depending on the freezing speed, ice crystals can destroy the food structure, and drips are likely to occur when thawing, which can significantly impair the taste. . On the other hand, although refrigeration does not cause tissue destruction and drips due to ice crystals, it has the disadvantage that the freshness of foods deteriorates more quickly than freezing.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned points, and includes an ice chamber provided adjacent to the freezing chamber, and a first antifreeze reservoir adjacent to the freezing chamber and a part of the wall of the ice chamber. With an extremely simple configuration in which a second antifreeze reservoir is provided, and both antifreeze reservoirs are communicated through a communication pipe equipped with a control valve, fresh foods can be stored for a long period of time without impairing taste. The present invention provides a refrigerator-freezer that has the following features.

1 is a freezer compartment, 2 is a refrigerator compartment, 3 is a cold air pipe that communicates the freezer compartment 1 and the refrigerator compartment 2, 4 is a damper disposed at the open end of the cold air pipe 3 on the refrigerator compartment 2 side, 5 is a freezer compartment 1 A first antifreeze reservoir 7 that is embedded in a partition wall 6 between the freezer compartment 1 and the freezer compartment 1 and adjacent to the freezer compartment 1, and A second antifreeze reservoir 8 is provided on the side surface of the ice room 5 of the ice room 6 and forms a part of the wall surface of the ice room 5. The first antifreeze reservoir 7 and the second antifreeze reservoir 8 are communicated with each other through a communication pipe 10 provided with a control valve 9.

Next, the operation of the refrigerator-freezer having such a configuration will be explained. A part of the cold air flowing in the freezer compartment 1 is sent into the refrigerator compartment 2 through the cold air pipe 3, and the air temperature in the refrigerator compartment 2 is adjusted. At this time,
The amount of cold air passing through is controlled by the action of the damper 4. Since the door 11 of the refrigerator compartment 2 is opened and closed more frequently than the doors 12 and 13 of the freezer compartment 1 and the ice room 5, the damper 4 is operated frequently, and the temperature of the refrigerator compartment 2 constantly fluctuates. On the other hand, the ice room 5 cools the antifreeze fluids 14 and 1 in each of the antifreeze reservoirs 7 and 8 due to the cold air from the freezing compartment 1.
5 is kept at ice temperature by cooling.

That is, the first antifreeze reservoir 7 receives the low temperature on the wall surface of the freezing chamber 1, which has a small temperature change, and the amount of antifreeze 14 flowing into the second antifreeze reservoir 8 is controlled by the control valve 9 so that the set temperature of the freezing chamber 5 is reached. Adjust. Furthermore, if a part of the wall surface of the ice room 5 is constituted by the second antifreeze reservoir 8, the heat can be quickly uniformized by the convection of the antifreeze fluid 15. In particular, if the antifreeze reservoir 8 is arranged on the ceiling surface of the ice room 5, Convection of the gas inside the ice room 5 is often carried out.
Therefore, the inside of the ice chamber 5 is kept at freezing temperature, and the antifreeze liquids 14 and 15 have a large specific heat,
Maintains stable ice temperature.

As a result, if fresh food is stored in the ice room 5, tissue destruction, dripping, etc. will not occur, and the food can be stored for a long period of time without spoiling the taste. Also,
Since the ice room 5 is an independent room and is separated from the cold air circulation system by heat transfer from the antifreeze fluids 14 and 15, the ice room 5
By storing foods that produce odors, such as fish and meat, the odor will not enter the cold air circulation system of the freezer compartment 1 or refrigerator compartment 2.

As explained above, the refrigerator-freezer according to the present invention has an ice chamber adjacent to the freezing chamber, and the ice chamber includes a first antifreeze reservoir adjacent to the freezing chamber and a part of the wall of the ice chamber. A second antifreeze reservoir is provided, and these two antifreeze reservoirs are communicated with each other through a communication pipe equipped with a control valve, so that the ice chamber can be set and maintained at freezing temperature.
Fresh food can be preserved well for long periods of time without impairing taste, and since the ice room is independent from the cold air circulation system of the freezer and refrigerator compartments,
It is possible to completely eliminate the problem of odor contamination and provide an easy-to-use refrigerator-freezer.
