Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve safety enabling a condition of abnormality to be automatically supervised and recorded in a picture by constituting a system so as to automatically start a rear watching television device, comprising a television camera and a monitor television, by a space sensor provided behind a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle behind watching television device contributes to safety operation of a vehicle in the time of its reversing or the like by mounting a television camera 2 behind the vehicle 1 while setting up a monitor television 3 in a position visible from a driver's seat and copying a picture image, taken by this television camera 2, in the monitor television 3 thus watching this picture image. Here, the vehicle 1 mounts to its behind an ultrasonic type space sensor 6 which detects an ultrasonic wave to be reflected, for instance, from an object. In case of the object being placed in a detecting range of this space sensor 6, its detection signal actuates a relay 71 in a space sensor control part 7 closing a contact K1 of the relay 71, and the television device 3 is instantaneously actuated.
